Hotel Makarios

It was good value for money if you want a nice and not expensive place to stay in Santorini. We booked a double room and we received a triple one saying that was the only option, but the reception solved the problem in the end.

I liked the location of the hotel…10minutes drive from the airport and about 10-15minutes (depending on how fast you walk) from the beach front. Staff was super friendly; from receptionists to cleaners and kitchen staff. Our room was nicely tidied up every morning and breakfast food was super yummy. You could find there various continental food from sweet to savoury and some nice greek food too. Plus fresh veg and fruits too. Pool side was always nice and clean and the pool/bar manager always kept it in order. Pool water was on a colder side (which I didnt mind considering mid October stay) but nice and clean. There are plenty of information at the reception regarding buses to Fira/Oia, local attractions and excursions and reception ladies were always happy to provide more info if needed or unsure. If I go to Santorini again I will stay at this hotel. It definitely had a family feel ☺️ Thank you for making our stay more relaxed and stress free ?? Its more to be mindful that location of the hotel is in close proximity of the airport so dont be surprised to see airplanes flying low or/and be noisy…my mum and I we didnt mind it…actually we were mesmerised by each plane landing ?☺️

Good service Very the same every day tinned fruit instead of fresh fruit , scrambled eggs were watery .juice was not juice it was squash . Not a great bar service

Really nice hotel, clean rooms, nice pool good size. Table tennis and tennis a bonus. 12.00 check out great, lots of areas to stay and wait after check out. Unorganised Beach just a minute away. It was a fair walk to the main parts of Kamari and organised beach.

Value for money. Basic hotel but everything we need was there. Relaxed place, very comfortable bed, lovely big pool, clean, very friendly staff, good breakfast, easy bus connection to the other places on the island, walking distance from Kamari beach. The shower cabine is half open so the bathroom floor ends up very wet if you don’t shower carefully. The internet in the bedroom not always reliable late evening.

5min from the beach, very clean, very peaceful, pool and tennis court. Lady at the front desk with glasses was incredibly kind- (give her a raise!) Wifi was fast Loved that it was remote and away from all the tourists. Away from the center. 15minute walk to bus stop, which I preferred but may be annoying for some.

The room was a lovely, clean, large room, there tea & coffee making facilities and a fridge. The hotel has a great pool area with plenty of sun beds. The breakfast included in the price was plentiful & delicious. The staff were all very friendly & helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. It was all good.

Definitely recommend Nothing

Everything was Excellent The only bad thing was that the toilet seat is too tiny and positioned poorly. The shower door is also positioned poorly, every time I have a shower the whole toilet would get soaked. Other wise everything else was perfect.

Close to the beach Noise from the airport

Clean environment and the staff I give a 100% polite and always ready to help. The 2 ladies at the reception are excellent.
