Superb

Nice view from a window. Nice terrace. Quite comfy bed. Dusty shelves, windowsills. Very dirty sun beds and dirty table on a terrace with coffee stains from previous guests. A lot of crumbs under the microwave oven, some hair on the stove, scale in a kettle. Unpleasant smell in the bathroom. Moldy curtain in the bathroom. We decided not to stay for the second night and change a hotel.

It was good value for money. The host was nice and the position is very good to reach everything in Kamari. It met the expectations. The bathroom could use with a bit of renovation, but everything was working.

Location was excellent as it's a really short distance to 24 hr supermarkets, bars, the beach and restaurants. The hosts were very friendly and lovely people to speak to. The property was cleaned daily with new bath mats and towels where needed. You need slippers/sandals to walk around the property as the stone floor gets dirty/dusty. The shower is a bit small and awkward to use. You cannot turn multiple appliances on simultaneously (toaster, stove and kettle) otherwise you may overload the circuit.

Great complex right by the mountain.. Lovely hosts. Relaxing stay. We liked this side of Kamari. Very near the bakers. 15 minutes to bus stop to Fira. Nothing

Exceptional

We had an outdoor area that was amazing. We had everything you would need, a stove, fridge, toaster, kettle. So close to the beach and many amazing restaurants. Toilet didn't flush to start with and you had to fill the cistern with no explanation of how to do it or how long.

Nothing. I see a lot of people praise the location though Kamari is a tiny resort. It's impossible to stay somewhere that isn't close to the beach/restaurants. It takes probably 10 minutes to walk from one end of Kamari to the other so don't be fooled into thinking Villa Ostria is a prime location. Anywhere you book will be the same. Where do I begin. I am of Greek descent and grew up in a working-class family of 7. We always had to travel to Greece on a budget, so I’ve stayed in some real dumps over the years. Believe me when I advise you to stay well clear of this place, it’s by far the worst I’ve ever stayed at. Please see the pic of the cups that greeted us upon our arrival. Have a marvel at the rotten windows and stained/dirty cupboard under the sink. Gaze your eyes upon the absolute state of cooking apparatus provided and the dirty table which wasn’t cleaned once during my stay. Fans of wildlife will be happy to note that the villa comes complete with cockroaches, see the pic, and also bed bugs. I barely slept on my first night after being bitten alive. This is what the owner would have you believe is an ‘authentic Greek experience’ ladies and gentlemen. I see he excuses all the negative comments below about the state of the villa as it reflects a real Cycladic home and he’s cheap. Being cheap is an excuse for a lack of facilities, e.g. there’s no iron or washing machine, it doesn’t give you a ticket for filth, rot and decay. The Wi Fi also doesn’t work, the air conditioning is awful and for one room only. Even the safe deposit box didn't lock properly. This place is so bad, my nephew only stated one night before refusing to return and chose to stay with my uncle and sisters' hotel instead. I broke down eventually too and had to take the unprecedented action of moving to the much nicer Akis Hotel just 3 nights into my 9-night stay. Having been made aware of my complaints from Booking, he pushed my uncle and called me a Greek swear when he came to help me pack. The owner has made up a load of false complaints when I reported him to Booking so expect him to respond with a load of nonsense. Just know that Booking actually provided me with compensation and gave him a warning.

The hosts were really lovely (and very hard working), the appartments rustic and cute and so clean! Good aircon in the main living area and a portable fan in the bedroom. We loved our wine time and breakfasts on our little terrace. A short walk to shops, beach and (many, many) restaurants, super convenient for everything you want on holiday. We went swimming almost every day at the beach, the water was beautiful and clear. The local people are welcoming of tourists and genuinely warm.

The properties were secluded and private, incredibly beautiful and we felt really safe. There was a lovely sense of community and the collection of properties and gardens are maintained wonderfully. The apartments themselves have everything you need and are kindly cleaned everyday.

We really loved the location and epically our hosts Serena and Costas Nothing
-
The resort has a small village atmosphere. The hosts Selina & Kostas are very helpful and super friendly. We had a studio with seperate bedroom and a mezzanine bed above the living area.
-
Kostas and Selina were very welcoming (wonderful hosts) The accommodation was great (2 bedrooms for us and our daughter) and great value for money. Very close to the beach and restaurants

Location was good. Not to far from, shops, restaurants and beach. Had a nice big balcony to sit outside. Hosts were friendly. Felt rushed to leave the studio. Checkout was 11.30am but received a knock on the door at 11.15 asking if we are ready to checkout, which we weren't. At 11.30 the host was at the door rushing us out as they had the next guests waiting for the room and wanted to clean it.

Very nice and welcoming hosts, Cosma will wait for you even if you arrive late in the evening. He will also do everything to help you when your car is left without power. He will bring you flowers when it is the birthday of your wife. He has a very friendly and welcoming wife who will embrace you when you leave. Very nice structure with beautiful plants in a perfect position between mountain and sea. Thank you for a beautifuly stay! Nothing.

The atmosphere at Villa Ostria was lovely, calm and relaxing. Kostas and Selene were so welcoming and helpful. We immediately felt cared for and relaxed. We visited with our adult children and having separate apartments in the same small area was the perfect way to be feel close but also with a little privacy. The property is a very short walk from the sea. Nearby there are plenty of restaurants to choose from and a supermarket and a fantastic bakery. There are also bars with pools in the area if you prefer swimming in pools to the sea. We had such a great time and hope to return in future.

A fantastic stay at this property, the hosts are a lovely couple. I would recommend anyone to stay here.

I liked the location and I liked how Kosta, the owner accommodated us and helped us even though the property had some issues. The location to buses and Kamari beach was a winner for us! I was unhappy with the way an accomodation change was handled. My friend brought another friend into our holiday and asked Kosta and his wife for accomodating and we were willing to pay. They were kind enough to give us another room. However Kosta’s wife rudely approached me to let me know that if I didn’t speak Greek to connect with Kosta , she would have had me out on the street. Kosta did everything to assist us all. The new room was still untidy and we did experience old beds, cockroaches and it was a really small shower.
