Onyado Nono Kanazawa Natural Hot Spring

The space was beautiful. The coffee in the lobby was nice. The other amenities that are listed were all in place and fun. Breakfast was amazing. We needed help with something lat in the night and the staff was patient and helpful. We weee so appreciative. All good

The traditional japanese feel. The cleanliness, the staff and the Onsen were outstanding. Note that its a nude onsen and separate for men and women. The rooms are also cozy and traditional with great air conditioning. The oil massage ;) Loved the no shoe policy! That I couldn't stay longer and booked only 1 night. Kanazawa and Onyado Nono deserves more!

The onsen experience, and the spotlessness of the hotel. Walk around for days in white socks and they won’t get dirty. I think based on the high quality of food we ate throughout Japan, the quality of the food options here could be improved a bit.

Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Kids loved the complementary ice cream throughout the evening, ramen at 9:30pm, yogurt drinks in the morning and all the manga. There was also coffee available in the lobby. Onsen was nice early morning when it was not crowded (crowded in the evening after dinner). They had shampoo/conditioner, body soap, face wash, body lotion and oil available for use, along with hair brushes, shower cap, cotton swabs and hair ties. Had a 60 minute massage without oil and it was lovely. About a 3 minute walk to Omicho Market, 7-11 across the street and Starbucks across from Omicho Market. Also the castle was walking distant Wish other drinks were complementary besides coffee and they had connecting rooms or more bigger rooms available for 4 people (had to get 2 rooms).

The breakfast was amazing, huge selection, something for everyone and delicious. The location is fantastic - walkable to so many wonderful places and experiences (our faves were the Kenroku-en garden, samurai district, contemporary art museum, craft museum, Omochi market, and loads of restaurants and shops). The hotel onsen is wonderful and we used it several times. Overall an excellent value and wonderful place to stay. My only complaint is the bed pillows are too hard. Would be nice to have some soft pillows, and more than one pillow per bed.

It was all a fabulous true Japanese experience. Pro-tip: the hotel has softer pillows if you ask for them at the front desk.

The room and facilities are very new, clean and well taken care of. I didn't care for this hotel. Based on my experience at the Onyado Nono in Tokyo (Asakusa), I was not expecting the size (13 floors!) and how busy it was. The restaurant and onsen were packed, and sometimes it took 10 minutes to leave the building because the elevators needed to stop on so many floors. There were many options at breakfast, but the quality wasn't as good as Tokyo. And the other guests were pushy in the restaurant in a way I hadn't seen before in Japan. I got unlucky with staff as well. Several were kind and patient while we used Google Translate to communicate, but the person who set up my luggage forwarding to Haneda was downright rude and clearly frustrated with me for not knowing the gate number (I knew which terminal, of course, but the gate would not be announced for another couple of days). It all worked out in the end, thankfully. I also did not like the neighbourhood with the "busy downtown city" vibes and sketchy looking back alleys. Of all the places I stayed in Japan, this was my least favourite.

The onsen is lovely. Abundant breakfast choices. Basic rooms but comfortable and well designed. Easy location. The neighborhood is convenient to almost everything, but the hotel area itself is a bit boring aesthetically, has a business hotel vibe. But easy to get to lots of charming neighborhoods.

Very different experience. Not used to taking shoes off and leaving them in a locker before you can check in. But the staff was amazing. Rooms are on the smallish side with thin walls and babies crying.

Absolutely fantastic location and walkable to everything. Breakfast was outstanding and we looked got to it every morning. Mostly Japanese staff and guests so fully immersive experience. There was very repetitive music in the lobby which could make someone a little bananas.

Stayed here twice. Both times were excellent. You can’t beat the amenities. I still think about how nice the onsen was. One of my favorite hotels in Japan. The location is ok. It is a little far away from the train station if walking, but it is in a convenient location near things to do on Kanazawa once you are there.

Location great and onsen was great

Gorgeous hotel and they have thought of everything! The onsen was really nice, makes you feel like you aren’t in the city an they welcome tattoos if they can be covered. Hard pillows. Check in is automated so you don’t have much interaction with staff.

The onsen was amazing, and the room was super comfortable. Because outside footwear is not allowed inside the entire hotel (you change into provided slippers at the entrance), everything inside feels very clean. Its a great experience, and the rooms themselves are quite spacious and has a great ryokan vibe. Great location too, just a short walk from alot of museums, gardens and Kanazawa castle.
