Hotel Phillips Kansas City Curio Collection by Hilton

Room had no Refrigerator or Microwave. No kid friendly, traveling with family. Staff seemed to be annoyed when asking questions.

Great, welcoming staff. Friendly, fast valet. Great location with a fantastic and fun speakeasy in the basement. Historic hotel with modern touches. Some fixtures were broken, but not terribly inconvenient. Would recommend!

The Hotel is beautiful and the speakeasy was amazing! Location was perfect, an easy walk to restaurants, coffee shops, grocery store, and music venues. I just wish the room amenities were a little better for the price point. The toilet paper is cheap, we only had one pod each (reg, decaf, and tea), and I wish they had mugs instead of paper cups. I asked the front desk for more pods and they were very helpful. These are small issues that could be easily upgraded to make it feel more luxurious. I would recommend this hotel and will be staying here again

On a good note the Valet was prompt and friendly.

We absolutely love the history of the hotel. And the beauty that they've kept intact. We will be going back We didn't have the best view this time, but we should have asked for something different

Passable

The rooms are pretty antiquated with the exception of the updated shower. Carpet appears old and some of the light switches were crooked on the wall. Closet did not close well. Food at the restaurant was not good. Several appetizers unavailable. I had chicken Parmesan special which included a bed of spaghetti. The sauce seemed a bit watery and was far too spicy for a spaghetti dish. The chicken was quite dry.

Very nice hotel. Check in was a breeze with friendly staff. Rooms were clean, modern, and beds were comfortable. Have stayed here several times when visiting Kansas City

Walking distance to all of the Power and Light district restaurants and places to see.

It’s an old hotel, and the pictures accentuate the positives. When I arrived, the place felt kinda dingy. The elevators smell funky, and the room was a bit worn down. On the contrary, the staff was incredible. Everyone we encountered was super helpful.

The sheets had poop on it

The hotel is beautiful, the staff is helpful and friendly, the bar and restaurant are great. However, though the room was very nice , the choice of a barn door that gapped on the bathroom along with a full length mirror facing the toilet was weird- especially in a room with 2 queen sized beds. Additionally, the fitness center was nice but at least 15 degrees hotter than the hallway. The hotel did send someone to work on the air the first morning but it was still much warmer than the hallway on the second day. Most people probably don’t use the fitness center but that’s very important to me.
