Super 8 by Wyndham Kansas City at Barry Road/Airport

There was a woman at the front desk but you can't check in with her. There is a kiosk where you have to speak to someone remote and they take multiple pictures of your ID. The rooms do not look like the pictures shown online, are smaller, and in much worse condition. The AC unit was dripping water onto the carpet of the room and the entire place smelled horrible. We immediately wanted to cancel and go somewhere else, and it was about a 45 minute ordeal to get a refund because the woman at the desk couldn't do it herself. She also couldn't give any proof of the refund even through email. Wasn't expecting a ton because it's a Super 8, but this hotel is absolutely not something worth booking

The price was very good. Breakfast was good. Room was clean. That is all that was needed.

Keycard kept deactivating every single day. Check in process was tedious. Some front desk workers were rude. One worker tried to say one of the minors with me was an adult and that I had to pay extra. I told them that’s not what Hotels.Com says and I was told they don’t honor that policy (it should’ve been in the fine print then). One worker stared at me and my guests until we got inside our room, which was very uncomfortable.

Room was great! The front desk experience was interesting.

We liked our one night stay. It's close to the airport, and very convenient after a late night arrival. The room was clean. The bed was clean and comfortable. It's an older place, but seems well maintained from what we could see. The air conditioner worked well, but did have a bit of a funky smell like they do in these places. It's the basic motel experience, which is what we expected.

The room and bathroom were clean, no issues there. There was no bath mat, we had to use a hand towel. The tub seemed slippery when wet, and there were no handholds or anything to grab if needed. The hair dryer didn't work, and the promised housekeeper never came to see about it after we inquired. The breakfast was a bit disappointing-- only cereal (two dry, some instant oatmeal), toast and apples were on offer, plus coffee and juice.

How convenient it was to stores and highway. The bed was not comfortable at all.

No front desk staff, had t I check in via a video booth. Room was dirty, bathroom was filthy, no continental breakfast provided besides coffee. Definitely not worth $112 for the night, would nm ot recommend at all

Breakfast offering was pretty limited rooms were so/so clean, AC was a little old and did not work well, over the stay was fine for the price paid.

Breakfast options were a bowl of cereal or toast. Bare bones and not really worth coming downstairs for.

Breakfast was just okay. We stayed for 7 days during the 2026 World Cup and wanted to save money the only options available were coffee, juice, and cereal. On our last day, after someone complained, they finally offered white and wheat bread. Thank you!

Not much No elevator I had 4 kids and luggage that I had to lug up stairs! The breakfast was NOT kid friendly! I could NOT understand what the guy who talked through the kiosk was saying!

Beds were horrible and rooms not very clean or parking lot either

Not very handicap accessible; bed way too high, toilet too low, lacked adequate grab bars in bathroom (unable to take shower safely)

My trip was delayed and wouldnt check in until 2am. Staff was very accommodating for me. They were able to meet my needs, however small they were. Definitely would stay there again when I come back to the city.

Virtual concierge was stupid idea; not very clean
