The price of food is too expensive compared to the other better accommodations we had during our trip.

Everybody was so welcoming in this place. They gave us breakfast and dinner which made things easier, because Karatu is small. It’s 20 min from Ngoringoro gate and bed was comfy Something they can’t control but the noise in the street was loud

When we discovered that our screen door was broken, staff went out of their way to replace it. Breakfast was lovely. The room was well located and provided just what we needed for our quick overnight stop in Karatu.

Good position in Karatu for visiting the Ngorongoro Crater or transferring to the Serengeti. We, a group of three, had two rooms at the Lilac Elevate Inn and faced several issues during our stay. Our rooms were ready only 2h after check-in time. Instead of two separate room keys, we were handed out a single card for our two rooms. We were told this is because of a shortage of cards and we would be able to only open our two rooms. It turned out to be a master key. We tried to clarify with the staff several times that it actually is a master key and received a different lie every time. It took another two hours to get rid of the master key and get two normal room cards, which didn’t seem so difficult as told before. Until the end of our stay we couldn’t be sure that it was the only master key that was handed out to guests, which made us feel very unsafe sleeping in the rooms and leaving our belongings there during the day. After wasting several hours discussing this matter with the staff and manager of this hotel we didn’t receive any gesture of good will from their side for the inconveniences and trouble caused. It couldn’t be resolved until the next day when we finally spoke to the owner who was the only one handeling the situation adequately.

Very friendly staff!

The breakfast was good, location as needed. The staff was excellent. Nothing specially.

Excellent service from the staff and chef. The food was excellent. Good bang for the buck. We recommend this hotel. Maybe a bit noisy at night since the hotel is on the mains road. It was Friday night and people were loud on the street. Nothing excessive.

The location and the staff was appreciatable. The food, in our stay we expected a buffet though it was like a restaurant which caused a lot of waste of food. Please fix this issue.

The room was really comfortable, decoration is beautiful and the staff was friendly. Easy to locate. The room is noisy because of the road, so ear plugs are necessary. There is no air conditioning, but as it wasn't that warm, the fan was enough. For the price, we would expect more of the structure and restaurant.

staffs were good

Breakfast was set menu and not an open buffet, it`s a new building with a good setup. All the staff were helpful and cheerful. the bathroom`s window was opening in the bedroom.

The only thing I find it good is just the building is new, so for such price it can be good if you don’t add any other extra. Wifi worked fine. Location is defined strategic as it’s on the mainroad, but the problem is the noise, if the building is designed properly, they could have avoided such traffic noise which is the main problem here. Very noisy even from our room on the highest floor, couldn’t sleep properly all night long, traffic noise was horrible. Also, there were mosquitoes but the bed has no mosquito net. Shower was okay. Restaurants need so much improvement as the food quality wasn’t that great. Basically with all extra charges for the dinner, alcohol, lunchboxes and etc as everything is not full-board, in the end, it was not worth it enough for such total price, we changed hotel without a second thought.

Location is good, at the main road. The hotel have large balconies and you can admire landscape and life in the street. Karatu is a nice vibrant small city close to Ngorongoro National Park
