We loved the facility in every way and especially the beauty of the lodge and the extra special staff. Just the internet. It wasn't 100% reliable.

The food could have been better to match the price and the place,also hot watervheters failed when we neses to shower in the morning on 2 occasions and we had to showr with cold water

We loved the big room and comfy beds Sitting out on the pourch was wonderful. They kept up all suppies in room and gave us a hot water bottle to heat the bed up. The fireplace was a nice touch. Pool excellent and property clean and beautiful. Easy to get picked up for safari. Dinner was nice and excellent.

The property was exceptional with amazing landscaping, facilities and five star hospitality. The staff were warm and welcoming. I will not hesitate to recommend The Retreat to anyone who is visiting Karatu or Ngorongoro Crater.

well maintained property, beautiful rooms and very helpful staff. Perfect place to wind down after visiting The Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Not easy to find even with GPS, few signs.

The facilities were brilliant The food pretty good for Africa. The location was right next to the national park so expected to have views...but all garden. The road in was horrendous and rooms cold. Not enough light and sun getting in.

The place is stunning and we had a fantastic time. The staff is attentive and friendly, location and setting absolutely breathtaking and the entire set up was just wow. The food was really good and the rooms more than enough. We'll certainly be back ! To be absolutely honest, the place is even better in real than on the pictures.
