The room was OK-ish for the price. Staff are polite but very little English spoken. Ridiculous design decisions: hit myself with a lamp (which had no bulbs) 3 times, such was its position above the table. Arrived at 16.10 and they wouldn't allow me to reserve for dinner as they only accept reservations until 4pm. I had to change my plans and go out again in the cold (taxi back & forth) to get dinner. Not really client friendly. The breakfast was pretty horrible. Skip it, do not pay for it in advance!

We loved the onsen. The hotel itself was also nice. The room was specious and comfortable. There’s a free lounge guests can use all day. I think it’s only convenient for those who drive. They also charge extra for small children (under 6 years old) despite the fact that I booked a room with triple beds. The hotel policy also stated that kids of all ages are welcome so why charging extra USD 70, I wonder?

The breakfast selections was really bad. Room was old and poorly lighted. There's a smell in the room.

Big room. Lounge w free drinks. Finding out that Booking.com charged me 24060 Yen for a night for 4 X double rooms when a check the same platform on that night showed the highest price was 19800Yen!!! I understand dynamic pricing but this is ridiculous. Will NOT use Booking.com ever again.

The front desk staff were helpful and spoke enough English to have a conversation. The room exceeded my expectations and i love the Japanese style for half the room and western for the other half. Clean, tidy, :) That I didn't stay longer because there was more to see in Karuizawa.

I reserved 2 rooms for family members who were visiting us here in Karuizawa. Hotel was mainly chosen because of its proximity with our residence. Rooms are spacious (31 sqm) and basically in good order and comfortable although the bathrooms are on the tiny size. Price is also correct in view of the local competition and onsen is available. The breakfast was apparently not really the best part of the stay as reported by my family members. The immediate surroundings of the hotel could be maybe a little better kept and the rusty gate and signboard at the entrance repainted as these steps would improve the image of the hotel best accessed by car as it is quite far from the town centre.

Hi, I think we left a black jacket there during our stay. We stayed at room 117 and was wondering if anyone found it. Please feel free to email me if anyone finds it. Other than that it was fantastic! Thanks !
