Great location, short walking distance to the beach, lovely views, comfortable, clean, & right next to 7/11. Nothing

The location is really good. The beds were comfy and large. The bathrooms light didn’t work. Also, in the mornings the waters would go off so I’d need to inform the employee but they got it fixed later on in the day.

Nice location and nice and large room. My washroom light wasn’t working and water went off and on in the morning so I needed to have them fix it.

Less busy not crowded

we loved everything about staying at Freedom Kata! The staff was extremely kind and the room was wonderful. We had a balcony which was a nice bonus! The location is great because you can easily walk to Kata Beach but its just far enough from the hustle and bustle of the beach shops. There are many restaurants around that are less crowded and less expensive than the ones on the main strip. we recommend the place 3 doors down with the pool table for crab fried rice! You do have to turn off the air conditioning when you leave which was a bit annoying considering how hot it gets but once you turn it back on, it cools the room up real quick! also our shower was almost never hot or even warm but we got so sunburnt we didnt mind!

The room was spacious, and I had booked the balcony option, which was worth the extra cost. I stayed 3 nights on the 3rd floor, and there’s no lift, so be prepared for stairs. The hotel sits right above a 7‑Eleven, which is convenient, and it’s next to a restaurant that opens at 7 a.m.—great for early tour days. The staff were friendly, though the manager or owner felt a bit distant and even forgot me twice, once asking again for my passport and another time thinking I was checking out early. The location is great: about a 10‑minute walk to Kata Beach with plenty of restaurants and shops around, and roughly 30 minutes from Patong. Overall, it’s a practical, well‑located choice for a short stay. The owner/manager wasn’t very friendly, and some of the furniture felt a bit worn, in addition to a hard mattress, which seems fairly common in Thailand.

The building is a bit old and could use some renovations, but again the value is the best I've come across in high season.

Otherwise a bit of outdated bathroom fixtures that were leaking but for the price it wasnt bad all in all

Great location, good place to rest your head at night. Cheap good massages. Our room felt dark and dingy.

Good location, close to Kata beach, got plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Tucked away in a back alley so it’s not very loud at night. First about cleanliness, the room itself is rather unclean. From stained bathroom tiles, dusty bed headboard, desk, wardrobe and shelves. Every time I placed something onto a shelf, dust just flew up. The AC and bedsheets smelled rather strongly of mildew and I actually developed an allergic reaction to the beddings, making sleeping difficult. Additionally, the room I was given for my room type does not have any windows, making clearing the air particularly difficult. Then about furniture quality, the bed was incredibly hard, my joints actually hurt while trying to fall asleep. The door to the balcony also has gaps so I question my safety as a solo female traveler while also enjoying the hot air blowing in from outside. On the public areas, the entire place is rather dimly lit and ventilation was also rather poor. The staircase and main foyer is connected by their makeshift trash area which reeks every time you’re near. While my booking was for over a week, I stayed only for one night and left, it wasn’t worth any of the mental and physical torture.

Staff is nice, massage is available and it's quite good. Great location and amazing wifi, perfect for remote working a couple of days if necessary. I wish they would provide bigger/more bottles of shampoo/shower gel

decent rooms, good air conditioner if you go in the opposite direction from the beach, there are many cheap local cafes advice: use Bolt app instead of taxis and tuk-tuks; Phi Phi islands tour can be 1300 bat only but it still would be 40+ people in a small boat - not very nice, try to find other options little ants in the room (probably attracted by fruits/other food), however, it was not any in my mom's room on the third floor only one towel per person

Nice, basic hotel. Very big and spacious room, comfy beds. Very clean. Nearby a lot of great restaurants, walking distance from The beach. Staff was ok.

Nothing special about the hotel. Not too far from the beach. Rooms on the back face Big Buddha (see my picture). Room was spacious. Safebox was not working properly. Massage salon on the property. Restaurant across. Budget place to crash for a day or so.

room codition and price was reasonable. No dyer and lift but near Kata beach
