Kata View Guest House

The staff members of Kata View Guest House are very warm, kind, and helpful. Kata View Guest House is a very clean and attractive place. I like the pretty granite main staircase and the granite details in the decor. My understanding is a family member actually built the staircase! I appreciate the real wood furniture in the rooms, too.

Super clean, spacious room. Very kind hosts, always ready to help. A lot of options for breakfast nearby. Cosy beds. Noise from the street (bikes, yes, for European may be little bit noisy) but soundproofing of sliding windows is good so be ready to sleep with A/C on and closed windows.

Best place I could have stayed. Clean, friendly, and right near the beach location. Honestly could not have chosen a better place. For me everything was great. There's everything you need near by, food, transportation and they had connections to a lot of the tourist attractions. Family owned business they were great and always available.

I enjoyed my stay at Kata View Guesthouse. The staff is nice, my room was clean, the shower was nice and hot and the bed was comfortable. Super close to restaurants, shops, the beach and the community park. I would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Hotel provided beach mat and towel. Staff was friendly. A/C worked real well. No elevator, room was bare bones. There were no outlets by the bed. Only bath towel was provided and it was thin. Asked for had towel and one was stained. Breakfast included was toast and tea.

The corner room is spacious. Day 1: The front desk insisted I pay additional fee to them because I was using a credit card. Paying hotel with credit card is not only standard, but also required all over the world. Yet, somehow it became the reason I need to pay additional 1000THB to them because "THEIR bank charges them more". This is a blatant disregard of the reservation contract on booking.com, a SCAM! Day 2: The AC in our room broke down. I don’t need to tell you how miserable we were because it is in the heat of Phuket. Finally, the maintenance guy showed up and refiled the Freon in the unit on the roof top. Day 3: The AC broke down again after only 20 hours! Apparently, there were leaks and they did not intent to fix it the first time. They thought they could just refill the Freon and get away with it the day before! This caused another miserable day for us. The building is about 3ft from a main road, which makes it very noisy ALL night with the cars and motorbikes roaring through. There were also bugs and mosquitos in the room, and one of us got some serious bites. There are a lot of basic things missing in the room, blow dryer, kettle etc. There are also no "views" whatsoever from any of the room, so don't believe in any of their descriptions!

The Guest house is kept very clean. The staff work very hard, the laundry service is excellent. The owners are very nice people! I became sick with a cold they offered to get me medicine, a doctor anything I needed. My back and hip were killing me after moving my home and 26 hour flight from LAX the owners saw stairs were very hard for me and moved EVERYTHING to new room on 1st floor. They even got me a new larger refrigerator when they saw I was storing a lot of food and water. They provided free coffee, tea, toast, jellies 2 bottles of water, fresh towels, changed bed EVERY day I highly recommend this property!!! Excellent location, quiet neighborhood, close to everything ? Nothing, excellent service! Good price!

I genuinely enjoyed staying at this hotel. I spent there 10 days of my trip. Firstly, the accommodation was great, the price is very reasonable. The room was cleaned by staff every day, they gave 2 bottles of water daily. The furniture and AC are old-fashioned but worked properly. To my surprise, there were cosmetics (like sunscreen cream, deodorants, sprays), summer hats, beach mats and towels available for everyone at the lobby! The staff members are extremely friendly and hospitable. I got sick one day and they helped me buying medicine and caring for me! I don’t know what I would do without them, 'cause I was alone abroad. There were small breakfasts served in the dining room every morning + 7/11 is very close, so it’s easy and cheap to have breakfast there. What I appreciate most is the fact, that I met there lots of good people from different countries! I really had a great time there, thanks a lot :)

The Guest house was a beautiful, lovely location., warm and polite staff smiling always, super clean rooms with a great view. Lovely Host she is always ready to help and make sure you are comfortable. They provide excellent beauty treatments massages and island trips airport taxis very well connected all under one roof. I will surely recommend it to my friends and family and will come back to stay next time. ???

It has a very good location, the internet is good, it was cleaned, very close to the beach, it is close to many restaurants , 7 eleven and stores. The entrance is not very pretty and could be more well mainteined. The shower has no separation from the rest of the bathroom, so when you take a shower, the entire bathroom gets wet. It’s very uncomfortable. The owner was not very friendly.

The hotel is within walking distance of the beach, which is a big advantage. I was given a room in the second building, located behind the main one. Despite the lively surroundings, the room was quiet and clean. There was no kettle in the room, but the staff provided one upon request at reception. This was my second stay at the hotel, and it felt a bit more worn compared to two years ago. At times, there was a low humming noise — possibly from the air conditioner, the refrigerator, or both — which was a bit distracting.

The location is excellent meters away from 7-11 minutes away from kata road and kata beach. the beach nearby is very nice and suitsble for families to swim. there is a free coffee, tea and toast available in the morning. tens of restaurants and coffees nearby. The energy is so positive in the hotle, staff are calm, nice and very helpful. The only point I want this property to improve is that there is no plugs close to the bed which made me a bit unconfortable especially while charging our devices. overall excellent value for money, we would plan to revisid.

Lady was not very nice when I checked out 10 mins early due to severe food poisoning. Neighbours were very loud too which was not nice. Kata is not a nice place too, beach is completely packed. Hotel was over priced for what it was. Shower had good pressure though.
