Advertised with a kitchen but there was no kitchen. Had to walk up 5 floors! The door lock is junk, anyone can open it, the place is not secured. There are much better other places for the same price.

great location, big room, the family was really nice, they helped me with a ticket for the bus to pokhara and even brought me to the bus station. would recommend!

Good Location in central Thamel. Comfy Bed. The Balcony in the Family Room at the 5th Floor. Friendly and helpful Owner and Family. There is no Shower Head. Overall cleanliness should be improved. Many Steps up and down. Breakfast is just basic.

Location within walking distance to sightseeing, great staff, facilities are simple and old but kept clean for a dome room. There are no partition curtains, but each person has their own outlet so there is no problem charging batteries. Bathroom is spacious, toilet paper is provided, and hot shower is also available. Breakfast is orthodox with sliced ​​bread, omelette, jam, butter and banana, but the local butter and freshly made local milk tea were excellent. The owner's family is often in another hotel, but they are very kind, so I would like to use it again. (There is a rooftop, but it is all stairs so be careful if you have large luggage or are elderly, but the staff will help you when checking in.) Nothing really. Value for money.

We had a really nice stay at Rambler hostel. Shalik and his wife are really kind hosts and always there to help or answer your questions. The shower is very good (hot water, good pressure) and the bed is super comfortable. Very good, central location. We would definitely stay here again!

The service of Shalik and his family was superb! Good bed, ok breakfast (better then most in Nepal) Bathroom, like most of them in Asia ? Breakfast was a little walk to ramblers hotel...

Location Rooms are old and dirty ( don’t get fool by the picture taken long time back rooms are not same as picture , there is no mirror in the room nor in the bathroom

This family-driven guesthouse is located in the center of Thamel and it was much better than we'd have expected for that price! Small breakfast was included and we've been here 5 nights to visit all sights in and outside of Kathmandu. Lots of restaurants are very close. They even offer Laundry service. Thanks to the family for a wonderful time?? Nothing

We had the room with the balcony and it was so nice! Beautiful view and comfortable spacious room. The family was very sweet and breakfast was good (egg omelet, toast, jam, and tea)! Good location near lots of restaurants and shops but still quiet! Everything was great! They should install a shower head though.

Super friendly and extremely helpful host, very close to everywhere in Kathmandu - a bit noisy at night, but still much quieter than the rest of Thamel; and a superb price to quality ratio - breakfast included, with great views of the city from the rooftop ;)

Central location in Thamel, very nice family, spacious room. Quiet hostel (inside). Good value for the price. As it's a central location, lots of outside noise which can't be helped. No toilet paper or soap, but it's cheap, so I suppose you get what you paid for. No way to lock the door when you leave the room so anyone can get in, especially as there is no staff.
