Good Location, friendly staff, great breakfast, clean All the stairs I had to climb. Should change the name to Big Treehouse Hostel. Sometimes there wasn't any hot water for the showers.

I got a room of my own, but the bathroom and toilet are separate and shared. They lied about having 24 hour reception. Instead of having reception, they close the gates to the property, so you cannot enter after 10pm. I tried to find someone at the reception for multiple nights in a row, nobody was there and I was forced to get a room at a different hotel so I could sleep at night. If you go outside at night, and you expect to come back to a room and a bed, do not book here. Come back in the afternoon if you want to be able to get inside. The window in my room was busted, so the wind would blow inside, this was in January. I do not recommend it in the winter, as the only thing they have in the room is a fan. The customer service of Big Tree Hostel is unfriendly, I do not recommend interacting with them at all.

The common area is a great spot to relax and meet fellow travelers, which makes the stay even more enjoyable. The location is also very convenient, with nice cafés, local shops, and must-visit places nearby. If you’re looking for a relaxed, safe, and budget-friendly place where you can meet good people and feel at home, Big Tree Hostel is definitely worth a try.

Staff is super nice and helpful. Location is great. Good value for money. Beds are tiny and uncomfortable. Facilities are dirty.

Good location, good value, comfy bed. I wish the bathrooms would have been cleaner. Also I think someone from the staff turned off the ventilator everyday around 6-6:30 am wish made the room hotter.

The presure and temperature of the shower and the reception personal It has lots of stairs to go to the common area.

This is a great place for a cheap price. Staff is very nice , hostel is usually quiet, the rooftop is great for reading and doing some yoga. The rooms are cozy, I don’t think you can get anything better at this price.

Lovely staff, good location, cheap price. You get what you pay for. Room was nice with comfortable bed/ mattress. Bit noisy but calmed down quickly. There was blood all over my bed on arrival but didn’t notice until the evening. Spoke to them the next day and eventually got the bed changed. Bit gross but overall a good outcome.

Very good place to stay in Kathmandu. The staff is very attentive. They help you with everything from the moment you land in Nepal: cab, money exchange, shopping, tours..... The location is ideal. Close to Thamel, the tourist bus station and walking distance to many tourist attractions. The place it's vert quiet and good. There is a little bar very close to the hostel that is very good. The shared room is well organized, with enough space in the personal drawers and the bed is clean and comfortable. Bathroom it's also clean and hot wáter flows well. I miss some place to stay where reading, but they are in process to do It.

The guest house is under reconstruction which was amazing because rooftop restaurant was out of order so it meant that no noise no drunk people no agresive drunk people na so on. So it was perfect silent place. Nothing
