location is good. Few stuffs (in breakfast and in reception) were good in behavior and supportive. breakfast was poor, not satisfying. commode condition was very bad. room condition is also not that standard. few employee's behavior (in breakfast and in reception) were not up to the mark. room cleaning was okay but how they prepared the room (ex. bedding preparation) was not proper. bed and cushion are also not comfortable anymore.

Very friendly and professional Housekeeping staff. The bathrooms need to be refurbished.

Great value and very good location. Breakfast was OK and bar food was adequate. Staff is very helpful and diligent. Pool was very nice. The hotel is a bit run down. Cleanliness is questionable. It can be quite noisy, specially the phones in the corridors used by the staff to communicate among themselves, they ring all day with nobody picking up, it's crazy. If you think of it as an affordable 4 star you will not be disappointed.

The property was very close to the bustle and busy activity and night life of Thamel, which is the most vibrant part of Kathmandu. The hotel has its own dedicated grounds which allow for easy access into and out of Thamel area. The property has much of the basic necessities that a good hotel should have, including gym, spa and beauty services, bar and restaurant, and a solid complimentary breakfast station with eggs and waffle stations. The age of the property is showing and has some loose fixtures, including plug points and drawers/shelves. The property has a large courtyard that caters to parties late through the night, especially during the Dec-Jan season which is the wedding season. The gym is not very well equipped and equipment appears heavily used and aged. The gym is also quite tightly packed with the spa services area.

Located right in the center of Thamel but still quiet. Fabulous rooms. Very comfortable beds. Staff were excellent and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was excellent. Great value for money.

The pool and the gardens. The Spa and the outdoor restaurant areas. Lovely room and very friendly and helpful staff.

Lovely hotel just a 5 minute walk from Themel. The staff was always super-friendly, happy and respectful. The rooms (we had two) were very clean and very well equipped with hot, strong showers. Breakfast was comprehensive with 10 steam tables, fruit, cheese, breads, etc; varied and very filling. They also have cooked-to-order eggs and waffles. A special shout out to Swastika, one of the front desk hostesses. She was so efficient and kind-a true asset to the hotel. Slavery was also very attentive in the breakfast room. Hard not to like The Malla Hotel! Nothing really

I thought the breakfast was comprehensive and well-prepared. Oddly, even after coming to Kathmandu for over 25 years, I still like being in/near Thamel. The location of the Malla is perfect....right at the edge of Thamel....and right around the corner from the trees where the bats live! I always like to see and photograph them. I loved having a pool, and loved the atmosphere. Very beautiful, quiet, and well-appointed, but also a relaxed vibe and very friendly staff. I have a couple of Nepali grandchildren, and they felt very comfortable visiting me there. There wasn't really anything I didn't like. I got a good price through Booking.com....I couldn't have afforded it otherwise. The airport transfer cost was a little high I thought. $30 is a lot for that.

My toilet commode was not good. it was not clearing the waste properly even after several flash. Reluctancy to provide late checkout up to 1.00pm even though they have no rush at that time. Breakfast is not that good. Considering all, cost is high.
