Seto Ghar Hotel Pvt. Ltd.

The room was not only beautifully furnished but also functional and cozy. The hotel is well located in Thamel area and has on-site parking within its compound, making it convenient for car/taxi drop-off and pick-up without obstructing the busy, narrow street. Check-in and check-out were efficient. My room was above the restaurant and at times there was some smoke which seemed to come from the fireplace (not the kitchen smoke). Also, although not the hotel's fault, there was some loud nighttime noise from a nearby site during my stay.

This was my second time staying at this establishment (Nepali Ghar), but first time staying in the Seto Ghar wing. The experience was just as good. Rooms are clean, beautifully decorated, modern bathrooms, and have luxurious bedding. The restaurant serves good, clean food, and is in a beautiful and serene setting. The breakfast buffet was great and my kids loved it! We also loved the daily complimentary tea and biscuits at the roof top lounge. Overall an excellent hotel and would highly recommend! Nothing

Location is good. Cappuccinos were excellent Breakfast was quite disorganised with dishes running out and not restocked. Weird placement of things meant you had to hunt around for a glass, or milk for your coffee. Showers only tepid normally and very rarely actually hot…

Pretty much everything. Staff, cleanliness, amenities, and location. The only minor thing was that the toilet had trouble flushing.

The location is great and the rooms were very good. The room service was excellent.

Loved our stay here. We booked 3 nights but ended up extending to 5. Really lovely room and bathroom, the bed was so comfortable it was difficult to get up in the morning. We enjoyed the breakfast and having a drink in the evening at the courtyard bar. There was daily complimentary yoga every morning and a basic but perfectly functional gym. This place was a real treat after several weeks of trekking. Slight smell from the drains in the bathroom. Nothing awful though.

We loved the location, the hotel facilities, the courtyard bar and restaurant areas, as well as the decor, comfy bed, and afternoon tea on the little roof terrace. The hotel is beautifully presented and the room was a great place to relax. The breakfast was an excellent selection of things and the customer service was great. The best hotel we have stayed at in Thamel in terms of the daytime experience. Sadly the windows do not fit brilliantly and are only single glazed - given this is a historic property this is not a surprise but it meant there was little in the way of sound insulation. We had requested that we be given a quiet room - given the hotel is in Thamel and the comments about noise in other reviews, we expected a lot going on outside. But sadly it was worse than we anticipated. The first night was New Year's Eve which was always going to be loud, but on our second evening, our sleep was still disturbed by traffic noise and people out and about outside. It's such a shame as we loved everything else about this hotel but because of the disturbed sleep we won't be returning.
