Beautiful property. Great attached restaurant that we ate at both nights with evening dance. Very large, nice room. Friendly staff. View towards the main street that is full of shops. Used tour guide to get around the city. Had to go breakfast one morning and good breakfast inhouse the other morning. Lost water on last morning. Thank goodness we took our showers the night before.

The owner is on top of everything and available to help with anything. An incredibly warm host, that has made all efforts to tastefully design his hotel in the heart of KTM. Staff were great. Would highly recommend a nice balcony room.

The location was fantastic. Right in the middle of Thamel, all the fun and buzz of restaurants, bars and shops and easy 10 minute walk to explore the old town area markets and temples. Thamel House is a great building and an oasis from the busy streets. My room was beautiful and spacious (room 18)! The windows faced the street so great to feel a part of the atmosphere. I arrived on a Friday night so the sound of music and people having fun went into the night but didn’t bother me The only negative thing about my room was that there were some issues with the toilet not flushing but the staff were very attentive to the problem

Location for end of our stay in Nepal was great for shopping in Thamel for gifts. The hotel was clean and comfy with helpful and pleasant staff. Dinner in the adjacent restaurant had traditional dancing performances each night. Rooms were well presented and spacious with some welcome fruit and snacks. Decor is traditional Newari feel with lots of wood which we loved. Placemats in the restaurant could do with a good wash.

Hotel is located in quiet location in Thamel. Room is really basic, cozy and clean. They have beautiful warm sun at the rooftop terrace. My friend changed a currency in nearest Exchange Shop. Lots of shops and eateries near by. Evening at Thamel is vibrant and people are hospitable. Loved it! Need to walk outside to Gaia Restaurant to have food.

Wonderful experience staying here before and after our Everest Base Camp trek. In the heart of the tourist area close to many shops and facilities. Terrific hotel with outstanding staff friendly and willing to take care of every need. Peaceful clean and comfortable stay. Highly recommended! Being in the heart of a tourist area depending upon what you like evenings were sometimes a little loud.

The property was such an amazing place. It was in the middle of the historic Thamel area, so everything was within walking distance. The architecture of the property was absolutely stunning, as well as in the rooms. The bathroom was extremely large. I felt so comfortable. The restaurant at the property was amazing, but the complementary breakfast was not the best.

Overall, the hotel met our needs. Our room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the common area was clean and welcoming, albeit basic. The breakfast is also basic, supplying just enough variety to provide for a good-enough meal. Our bathroom could use an overhaul (very old, stained toilet, and cruddy shower area) and the hotel should invest in new towels, which were gray and very worn out. Also, our balcony room was situated over the hotel's courtyard where meals are served, so although it didn't stay loud very late into the night, expect to hear a good amount of noise from below during the evening.
