Residence Inn by Marriott Kingston Water's Edge

The fire alarm malfunctioned repeatedly on the first night. The third incident occurred in the middle of the night; the alarm blared for about 30 minutes, making it impossible to sleep. Although it appeared that the fire department was called to make repairs, there was absolutely no explanation or apology offered to the guests who had evacuated. 1. The first malfunction occurred around 10:00 PM; why couldn't the issue be properly fixed then? 2. At the very least, an explanation or apology should have been provided during the evacuation or the following morning. The handling of the situation was appalling.

Breakfast surpassed our expectation. The PILLOWS were horrible . Need to be fixed asap

Great location. Gorgeous harbour view. Big room. Pool Felt old fashioned despite refurb. Felt cold and soulless. Felt like a missed opportunity with pool area feeling a little basic and public spaces not maximised. Breakfast choices were underwhelming.

Great location and staff were friendly. The room was comfortable . The pool was small and didn’t look that inviting. The parking charge was high and unexpected. Although the hotel was nice, I didn’t feel it was good value for money compared to other hotels I’ve stayed at.

Excellent breakfast included, spacious suite. Great location next to the water and short walk to shops and restaurants. The property was a bit outdated, although functional it looked like it would benefit from being updated.

We had a lovely stay at Kingston. The hotel was very central, close to many pubs and restaurants. You can easily walk to the harbour for the 1000 Islands boat ride. Which we did, it was lovely. We only stayed two nights. Parking at the hotel was easy. Rooms were ok, but tired looking. Beds comfortable, good shower. Bed settee not made up, I had to request more linen and pillows. I had to make the bed up myself, not really great, when you're on your holiday. We visited Kingston Pen (prison) it's worth a visit. Breakfast was ok, but not great. Staff clearly working hard to replenish food and drinks. Would recommend a stay in Kingston.

Exceptional

Location is ideal, all within walking distance. Breakfast was good as well, with variety of options Had a problem with the sink (dirty water coming back up) and had to be moved room which meant we were on a different floor from our children. A bit of a shame that parking cost is added when room is already rather pricey

Near the water The breakfast was okay it the dinning area looked an old resturant so sad.

Great location for access to tourist sights, bars and restaurants. Apartment was a good size and it was good to have 2 bathrooms. Comfy beds! Breakfast selection was adequate, good mix of hot and cold food. Sometimes a little busy, but other seating options available outside of dining area (including outside). Complimentary tea and coffee available throughout the day.

Very nice hotel well situated Sofa bed was not prepared when we arrived, while we informed that we would be 4 and it was not good quality sofa bed at all
