The staff were very friendly and welcoming, especially the manager, who went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The room was clean and comfortable, and the beachfront location was beautiful and very peaceful. It was a great place to relax. The resort was a bit too quiet for our family. We were traveling with a young child, so we were hoping for more family-friendly activities or a kids’ play area. Couples looking for a peaceful getaway will probably enjoy it more.

it would be good if they had A TV in rooms and one time use slippers.

After a few days in noisy Kendwa, I really wanted some privacy and relaxation. I’ve stayed at many hotels across the island but this one left the absolute best impression. I arrived for check-in a couple of hours early. I was warmly welcomed at the reception and offered to check in right away without any waiting. Most likely, all the rooms, including mine, were occupied since I arrived ahead of time. And they gave me an upgrade — it was the best room in the entire complex, with a private pool and a breathtaking ocean view! The room was spotless, spacious, and incredible attention was paid to every single detail, style, and comfort. I loved it so much that I extended my stay for another night. They truly care about their guests here! The service at the reception and from the entire staff was highly professional. All of this made my vacation unforgettable. I hope to visit this place again soon but next time with my friends!

The room (individual bungalows), the grounds, the pool, the beach, all of it just beautiful! Liked everything!

We had a wonderful and regenerating stay at Marafiki. Structure is amazing, every bungalow has its own patio and all details are curated from interiors to the exteriors (common areas, pool, subbeds and restaurant). We were coming from Nungwui which is more chaotic and we really had relaxing 3nights, where we enjoyed meals at the restaurant and delicious included breakfast. I also experienced pilates class and massage. A special mention goes to the staff, very friendly and helpful. You guys made us feel at home! Very much recommended

This is a beautiful retreat on the quieter side of Zanzibar. The food is excellent and you are in for a treat if you happen to stay during Swahili night with a buffet of local food and entertainment! There is a massage platform that overlooks the ocean complete with sea breezes, light spray from the ocean crashing on the rocks below all while having an expert oil massage…perfection! Esther, Sarah, Jackson and all the staff are fantastic and really take the time to get to know each guest and check in regularly to make sure all your needs are met. We were totally impressed! The quiet location is great but if you are looking to get to the closer village it’s a good 40 minute walk or use the provided bikes. Not a big deal but FYI

The place is very comfortable, cost, intimate. Great staff, great atmosphere. Best food we had in Zanzibar. The only thing that i would say is that the beach is not as accessible or nice to swim in as when we were in Paje. The tide goes up and down in the same way but the beach is not as wide here. Having said that, the pool is lovely and all the rest was fantastic. And maybe the sea wasn’t as appetizing because we had windy weather.

My stay was exceptional. Everyone has been so lovely and warm especially Flaynes and Susan. The food and drinks were amazing. The place was very quiet, perfect to escape the city, to reflect on life and manifest your dreams! I will definitely be back again. Nothing
