Salad Beach Resort

We absolutely loved our time at the Salad Beach Resort. I had stayed there a couple of years ago and loved it then as well and have always wanted to go back again. And it did not disappoint. It was just as beautiful, peaceful and wonderful as I remembered it. The room was a great size. Large bathroom with a great shower. Super comfortable big bed with extra pillows. The mini-fridge and safe are always a nice extra touch. Good sized balcony with chairs and a drying rack as well. Awesome pool surrounded by beautiful tropical trees and flowers. Very close to the "Post Card" beach in Paradise as well. Fantastic lounging chairs with a stunning view of the ocean/bay/beach. Convenient restaurant plus massage area too. Friendly, well trained, helpful staff everywhere as well. If you have a motorcycle or car, you can get to all the other 7-11s, restaurants, markets and shops etc. But love being way up "north" on the island with gorgeous sunsets on the west side far away from all the "Full Moon Party" stuff. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone going to Koh Phangan. Exactly what you would expect from a Dream Vacation in a tropical paradise. The only thing we can think of doesn't really have anything to do with the resort itself but our next door neighbor's sat on their balcony all the time smoking ganja constantly and if you're not "into" that, the smell is really nauseating after a while and it was at all hours as well. Ugh! But zero complaints about the resort or their staff.

A beautiful resort with a lovely garden and swimming pool. The rooms could use a little restoration, as in some places nails are coming out of the walls. However, everything else is good. The beach is great for swimming, with clean and clear water.

This is my 3rd time staying at Salad Beach. Each time I stay in different hotel and this stay was better than previous. It was really nice stay in this hotel The staff was super friendly, polite and kind. The girl on the reception was wonderful, she organise me everything professionally and with extreme kindness. She helped me a lot there. The drivers are also very friendly and chill. Room was spacious and clean. The pool was clean and nice. The beach itself is wonderful. I Like this beach since it is far away from any crowds and noise, surrounded by palms. The sand is just like I want for the beach. In the morning the sea is very calm and clean and perfect for swimming. Everything was very nice. The only thing I would like to be improved is more shops near hotel, like 7eleven or similar with more choices. This is not up to hotel but it would be great if they can improve it.

While we enjoyed the beach area, we had an unpleasant experience at the beach restaurant. I was having a beer at a table, but the staff asked me to leave and cleared the table even though other guests were still sitting nearby. The beach staff member was quite rude and did not seem willing to help. We also noticed that the cashier at the restaurant was speaking harshly to a younger staff member, which was uncomfortable to witness. On the positive side, the receptionist was very kind, friendly, and helpful, and we really appreciated her attitude.

The restaurant wasn’t great, but there’s plenty of other walkable options, it did have decent prices though for drinks which I used. There is a crack in the terrace door that bugs could get through but that was an easy fix I just shoved a plastic bag in between and I didn’t have a problem with bugs at all! Overall great!

The breakfast was great. The dinner menu needs some work. The staff were excellent. TK always had a smile on his face and made sure we were all happy. Room was very noisy. Could hear the staff talking in the early morning.

Restaurant wasn't that great, but there were so many great ones nearby anyway so it didn't matter. Money exchange wasn't good for USD, but i went in town for better exchange rate.

The resort is located right on Salad Beach, which feels mostly private and is surrounded by other quiet resorts. The beach itself is lovely - shallow waters, a nearby reef, and plenty of fish to spot while swimming or snorkeling. During high tide, there’s not much sand left, but the resort’s sunbeds are perfectly positioned for relaxing just in front of the beach. The on-site restaurant is reasonably priced and opens early at 7am, which is rare in the area. While the food isn’t the best, but it’s tasty and great value - especially if you're traveling on a budget. Getting to other beaches from here isn’t very easy unless you have a motorbike or car. I went for runs to Mae Haad and Haad Yao, and despite the hilly terrain, it’s doable—about 2.5 km away. There are a few shops, convenience stores, and restaurants within walking distance of the resort. I stayed in a spacious apartment-style room with a comfortable bed, a clean bathroom, a small fridge, a secure lock, and a balcony overlooking the garden. Housekeeping came daily to clean and provide bottled water, which was a nice touch. The resort also has a good-sized pool and offers massage services for 400 baht. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I’ll definitely return when I’m back in Phangan. There’s little to complain about overall. Some of the furniture and doors are showing signs of wear, but nothing that affected the comfort of my stay. As is common across the island, mosquitoes can be a nuisance—definitely bring repellent. I did notice that a neighboring property had a buildup of trash and construction debris, which might be contributing to the mosquito presence. The beach itself, while beautiful, had some litter, and I didn’t see much effort from resort staff—across all the properties on this beach, not just Salad Beach Resort—to keep it clean. Unfortunately, this seems to be a broader issue in many parts of Thailand. Do your part and bring your trash back with you, please!

Nice beach, a good swimming pool 1. No Lobby 2. Rude staff, all they care about is money 3. I paid double the price on booking then what the current rate was, from now on I will book directly with hotels, booking is not reliable 4. Deposit of 1500 Bhat for room keys, in cash, never had this anywhere in the world 5. Overall ROI is very disappointing both from Hotel and Booking.com

The staff are amazing , all day they are taking care to clean around and make order , we also had some problem in the shower and the took care of that immediately and fix it , every question we had we got an answer , the location is amazing our room was 15 from the beach and just in front the pool We liked everything ! Keep in the mind the the beach has many restaurants for some reason the hotel restaurant is not popular hence we didn’t try it , we ate at crystal day restaurant for dinner BBq and it was awesome , also the fire show was good one
