Green Papaya Beach Resort, Koh Phangan

The view of the Beach and the sunset, the Pool, food, staff was all great Nothing in particular.

It’s a little out of the way but you are rewarded with a beautiful beach without a lot of crowds. Great sunset. Decent restaurant. Good snorkeling. Shower was attached to the room but was an outside shower. Mosquitos are abundant.

The staff feels like family- warm, caring, and genuinely touched our hearts. The rooms are lovely and comfortable, the beach and the pool are absolute paradise, and the restaurant is delicious and high quality. This place is simply perfect. Huge thank you to the entire team for an unforgettable stay.

The shower in the hotel room was located on the balcony, which was really inconvenient. Although there were curtains, anyone looking up from below could easily see inside. In addition, there is no service at night the front desk is closed

The room itself was really nice and clean. The beds were amazingly comfy. Wifi was strong and fast. Hotel provided mosquito zappers which I'm not sure if that's normal in Thai Hotels but it was greatly appreciated. Staff were super helpful, especially the receptionists. We had a lot of questions regarding travelling around the island and recommendations for places to go and they were really helpful. We went during the rainy season. Although it didn't actually rain while we were there, the tides were really high so it made the beach access difficult and swimming in the beach wasn't as nice as it could have been. Obviously this is not the hotel's fault, just be warned about the dates you book your holiday for as it was a little unfortunate we weren't able to snorkle and stuff. As well as this the location is a little far away from stuff which has its pros and cons. Only means of transport is renting mopeds/cars or getting a taxi (which there is no shortage of) but it adds up.

We stayed in the first bungalow near the beach, and the view was beautiful. The bungalow was spacious and well maintained. The staff were very nice and helpful. I really loved the pool, it’s long, beautifully designed, and stretches through the hotel grounds. The breakfast was simple but fine. The area doesn’t have a main street, but there are a few nice restaurants along the beach with good food, a small (though a bit pricey) supermarket, and some massage places. Salad Beach is stunning, and we’ll definitely return to this area again. The water pressure in the shower was low, and there wasn’t much lighting there (if you want to shower an the evenings)

Beautiful setting, Villas are beautiful, very tropical feel. Staff were very nice and friendly and gave us good advice. . Breakfast is great, and location by the beach is perfect. The swimming pool is great. Very recommended We loved everything. Although on a few occasions the frogs were croaking very loudly (if that's a bad thing).

The hotel is very nice, with swimming pool and beach access. The staff were welcoming and nice. Location. The leading road is very steep so even with my scooter it was scary. The roads are not well maintained in this area but if you have some experience driving you’ll be okay

Great breakfast, great pool, great beach, even had great yoga

The rooms are big and clean! There is yoga classes on Monday and Wednesday and that’s so refreshing and full your day with energy The breakfast could include also normal coffee without extra charge and for our own preferences it would be like for more cheese and salads at the breakfast. You will probably need a car or motorcycle since it’s not near the restaurants, but the hotel also can help you with taxi

The facilities, the staff, and the location on one of the best beaches were all outstanding. Big clean rooms, amazing pool and a various breakfast. Outdoor shower was so relaxing and special. The resort is located pretty far from bigger towns and stores, most restaurants in the area close at 9 PM and taxis can get pricy. But the quiet, clean beach is worth it for honeymooners like us.

Not a lot to do around great place if you are location for peace and quiet. Restaurants around closes early.

Wow! what an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into a tropical dream. The entrance is absolutely magical, taking you through a path lined with lush papaya trees that instantly sets a serene, jungle-like tone. We stayed in the Pool Villa, and it was perfection. The private pool was just for us, surrounded by nature, with an outdoor bathroom where you can shower under the sky while listening to birds singing all day long. The main pool is also stunning, with an open view of the beach, crystal clear turquoise waters and soft white sand right at your feet. It’s the kind of beach you see in postcards, and it’s just steps from your room. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile and eager to make our stay more comfortable. One of our favorite touches was having breakfast delivered to our room, fresh, flavorful, and a real treat to enjoy in our villa. Lovely nearby restaurants, peaceful vibes, and nature everywhere. Truly a slice of paradise. I’d come back. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful, tropical escape.

We liked the outdoor shower in the room and the salad beach is just amazing, we like the rooms, was big enough with a great porch Staff is the best The kitchen was in the middle of construction and renovation, it is next to the pool and beach and the works was noisy during the day
