Zama Resort

I liked the location. It was easy to walk to the nearby shops and restaurants. The staff were very attentive and made my birthday feel special. The room was exactly as listed online and the AC is nice and strong! One small gripe was that the shower head wasn’t properly affixed to the wall so I had to hold it to wash myself.

Beautiful property with great amenities and amazing staff! The views from the partial beach view bungalow were fantastic. We enjoyed the daily breakfast and the sunsets at the pool. Good restaurants in the area and a motorbike rental place on site. It was also easy to grab a taxi when needed. Lots of stairs to the bungalow could be an issue for some but it didn’t bother us!

Good views and sunsets from the pool area. Breakfast options included a variety and dinner at the resort was good. Bed mattres & pillows were so comfortable. Enjoyed going to Secret beach. Lots of mosquitoes, although they did spray on our second day. Room facing West gets very hot and Aircon struggles to cope. Some maintenance in bathroom required: toilet seat and shower head wall bracket.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, food was delicious, grounds were beautiful…the pool area had an amazing sunset view!

I enjoyed my stay! The staff was very nice and helpful, the rooms and resort are clean. Nice pool also, I enjoyed the restaurant and good prices. It would be nice to update the bathroom also add a space to put our luggage

Staff were helpful and kind Hot tub was out of service for re tiling, beach out front was not swim-able. Beds are quite firm.

I had a wonderful 8 night stay at Zama Resort at the end of November. The entire staff is absolutely fantastic, always super friendly and welcoming, and ready to accommodate any special request. As I found out, since it is my first time visiting, most folks working in hospitality and restaurant service on this island are from Myanmar. From my personal experience, they are really sweet people. I very much liked the layout of this resort with the rooms well away from the road, some of them actually quite far down the hillside. I stayed in room number 9 and it was a bit of a hike, but also some good exercise. The swimming pool next to the restaurant has slightly salty water which I absolutely enjoyed because it never smelled of chlorine and also was never too warm, like the pools in most hotels in Bangkok. I was surprised to find out upon my arrival that breakfast was included in my booking (via Booking.com) since I usually don’t take that option because I only have black coffee in the morning. However, I could order breakfast until 5 pm which was ideal for me. There were plenty of choices and the staff were also completely open to any combination of items that I would choose. The restaurant/lobby is very comfy, with some great, colorful artwork and some decent vibe music at a fairly low volume. There are cats all over the property, so, hopefully you aren’t allergic to them! I found them always entertaining. There are some interesting, more Thai items on the menu as well, just give them a try for dinner. Happy hour is from 5 to 7! The grounds of the resort had been sprayed for mosquitoes right before my arrival and that seemed to have been very effective since I didn’t end up with a single bite during my time there. Wifi had great coverage throughout the resort… much better than in some hotels on Phuket.There's definitely good snorkeling amongst the rocks right in front of the resort. I can only say that this was a great stay and I would certainly return. Well, the bed in my room was pretty hard. A friend of mine stayed for a night in room 23 right by the pool and that had been updated more recently - a shower stall was added and the bed was certainly a bit softer. Also, it would have been nice to have some sort of mosquito curtain for part of the sliding door so one could keep it slightly open at night to enjoy the sound of the sea below. I have one of those for a patio door in my house in France and they are easy to put together.

First of all what made the experience so good is the amazing stuff. They are so nice and welcoming?? The restaurant very good and the cocktail’s amazing. There is a happy hour during sunset and the food really good. Breakfast until 17:00. Most importantly the cats in the hotel Loved it! Especially mimi?❤️ Nothing we had an amazing experience
