The Z Nite Hostel

The room and beds were clean. I think this place was family run, it felt more like a homestay than a hostel. There was only two people running the whole place; some areas were clean while some were quite messy. Some of the bathrooms did not have hot water. Also, the kitchen and downstairs bathroom were really messy. Breakfast was home cooked (one egg and toast) and it wasn’t bad. Ac was turned off in the rooms most of the day so it was really hot and unlivable during the day. It’s not a bad place if you’re on a budget, but you can definitely find better places around the same price in Phuket (I moved to Mad Monkey and it cost the same with much better conditions)

I was about to leave when a staff member came to change the bed sheets. I went to the bathroom for less than two minutes. When I returned, the bed was supposedly finished, and the staff member was spraying fragrance directly onto it. I do not believe the entire bed could have been properly changed.

Unfortunately, the customer service has been very disappointing. The representatives are not helpful, and responses take an unreasonably long time.

I arrived at the hostel, I had booked a bed in a 4 bed dorm, upon my arrival the staff says they are overbooked because

Not busy, fairly quiet, close to Old Town without being right on top of all the congestion Advertised as also a cafe but never saw a menu or anything that hinted that there was any sort of cafe there. When checking in staff never mentioned anything about breakfast or any other meals being available on site (whether free or for purchase). Room was clean, though my bunk did not have a proper blanket, only what looked like an oversized terry-cloth bath towel (same color and texture as the bath towels provided, just larger). Other bunks in the room had proper blankets.

Solo female traveller. I had a great stay at Z Nite hostel. The staff were friendly, available and helped carry my luggage to the room. The room was clean with AC and a fan and didn't feel crowded with beds. There are storage lockers available just outside the room door (I suggest bringing your own locks). No complaints complaints regarding my stay!

Very clean, organized and value for money hostel with friendly staff. Perfect for couples and solo travelers. People from different parts of the world stay here together in one room which sometimes leads to some cultural differences.

Clean tidy and quiet. A comfortable stay and great value for money. All was very good.

My bed was heavily infested by bed bugs. Had 0 sleep.

I really appreciate all the help and hospitality from the staff, they were kind, polite and helped me every time needed. They also seemed to work very hard when making the breakfast, and cleaning the beds every time there was a change in the dorm. Still, I believe that that hostel need to have some improvements like: maintain on the air conditioning in the lobby, a proper ventilation system in the bathroom, clean all the areas that I not usually 'seen', such as walls corners, old shoes in the gabinet, and reform or main the kitchen better organized.

The bathrooms smelled bad, there was a man in my room who drank alcohol and smoked during the day, and there was no air conditioning, only during certain time slots.

Great location. You are about 10 minutes walking from Bus Station 1, 7 minutes walking from a local bus station, and about a 10 minute drive from Bus Station 2. There’s plenty of restaurants and cafes in walking distance. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Free breakfast available from 7-10am. Good a/c in the room and the common areas are also kept tidy.

Good size and comfortable bed and spacious rooms. Nice lounge/reception area + front patio. About 10 mins walk from main streets and with a 7/11 and few shops and little restaurant nearby. Good enough bathrooms (although only 2 per floor) No coffee/tea facilities during the day (staff keeps it behind the reception desk). Kitchen: old and run out + too small for more than 1 person to cook at the same time, and broken microwave. If you have to leave before 7am, the only way to check out and get your deposit back is to hand your keys and towel over before 11pm the night before. Poor language skills from the staff made it hard to communicate or get information.

The smell of the place was not good, I heard a lot of people saying the same thing, even after the cleaning time. Also, when I arrived, I had to wait 30min to check in, because there was no one at the reception
