It was a great place. There is a cafe upstairs so waking up to the smell of fresh baked goods made my feel like I was at home. The town is pretty small so you can walk almost anywhere.

Good price value. Nice building and privacy for the beds. A bit of walk uphill from bus station. Not dislike, just to mention it.

1) comfortable bed, with a locker to put things inside the bed. Got hanger for coat, towel and clothes. 2) shower offer AESOP shampoo and soup? Seriously?! ? 3) hostel guest offered ¥1200 breakfast set, a little cheaper for non guest, but I am so happy for this choice because it is very yummy!!’ 1) WIFI internet is not exactly smooth. 2) I wish they offer cups or simple cutlery but I couldn’t find it. There is a kettle to make hot water, but no cup, there are fridge to store food, but no kitchen or cutlery? Hmmmmm

The relation of quality and value was great, I am not used to hostels and capsule hotels in general, but this one was nice in the sense that staff was really helpful and the place was really cozy. Breakfast was delicious!

The space in the dorm is reasonably spacious, however if you dont wish to lie down, the common area is available for us to sit on the sofa, or some chairs to sit on & chat. There is a sink at the common area just outside the dorm, we could wash hands and brush teeth there. Love the small water fall just outside the dorm window, best ASMR for me. The location of the place is slightly uphill, so if you travelled on foot with a big luggage, the challenge is to walk uphill for about 1km from the bus stop. The toilets and bathroom is 1 floor up from the dorm, if you need to use the toilet at night, you need to climb up those small and steep stairs with eyes half closed/opened. The bathroom is also 1 floor up beside the toilets. There's only 2 toilets and 1 bathroom, if the rooms/dorms is fully booked then it's very likely to have a queue. 旅店位置在山上,走路的话推着一个行李上山大约要走1公里。 厕所和洗澡间在上一层,晚上想上厕所的话需要走楼梯上去,楼梯稍小和陡。

The cafe was great for brekkie. Sad it wasn’t open for dinner. It was my first stay in a hostel so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Certainly not the Sheraton but I feel it was decent for the price. Walkable to everywhere in Arima onsen area. There was an odd smell in the dorm area. Don’t know what it was.

The next morning, I enjoyed a breakfast and it was SO delicious and worth it. The thick cut toast and croissant were both fresh baked and perfect.

Everything Nothing

Overall, the building was very cozy and warm. Nice wooden structure provided excellent mood. No Laundary, no dryer but it's was not necessary for one or two day staying. The stairs were extremely steep, so I need a bit of care The personal storage in each bunk bed, wish it had some damper or door holder so the lid stays opened.

Each dorm bed was in a well designed nook with blackout curtain so travelers can come and go in night without waking sleepers with light The optional breakfast and dinner meals were delicious and good value. Nothing.

Quiet and comfortable, good value for money. Mixed dorm so slightly uncomfortable as it was only myself (girl) and another guy for the night. There is a private room upstairs and I’m aware someone was occupying it so felt a bit less uncomfortable because of that.
-
Nice and modern place. Easy access to the nature and also to the center. Also the food in the cafe is really good. I would advise if you can choose to not take a bed in the dorm that is directly connected to the outside wall. This outside wall is really cold during the night.
-
lovely building. not allowed to sit in cafe unless you are buying drinks. the shared space downstairs is not big enough for all the guests.
-
Comfortable bed, nice breakfast room (not included) Free common area looks sad ? Breakfast area closes early so I can’t sit there at the evening even after ordering food

The location, the staff were friendly The mattress is in desperate need of a replacement, I took the sheet off to check for bedbugs and the mattress looks almost ten years old. All torn and freyed and *incredibly* lumpy. The room and the common area are also very cold, they need to replace the heater (the duvet is nice and thick, but even still was cold) They don't provide and bowls or cutlery downstairs for preparing own meals. Also there's only one toilet for the men that is shared with the cafe guests, I had to wipe the seat a couple of times and one time it was unusable it was so gross, I used the woman's toilet instead. Some basic comforts like being warm, and comfortable in bed really bring the score down. Add some blankets, get some cheap plates and bowls, and replace the heater in the common area and then it's fairly decent...
