Interior design of room and lobby, and curry for breakfast Very dusty. Dust in all corners, like where floor meets wall, in refrigerator sides, even hanging from behind TV and the main door’s top edges. Also the breakfast buffet was already nearly empty by 8:10am.

I got a room on the top floor. It was clean and comfortable. It’s a bit too small, but for a night it was perfect.

This hotel is very conveniently situated for us that need to be able to reach different places in Tochigi and Ibaraki as well as Tokyo when we are visiting. The trains run frequently and there are several places to find great food around the station and deeper in the city. The hotel is clean and quiet, the staff was lovely and always accommodating and usage of the washer/dryer was a welcome additional perk. We did not have the breakfast but it smelled nice.

Staff spoke decent English even though this is by no means a tourist area. Breakfast was buffet style and what is to be expected from a Japanese business hotel buffet. There is also a Family Mart like right across the street. Koga station is less than a 10 minute walk. I can not really think of anything that was under my expectations for this hotel. We only stayed one night and were really only there to sleep and shower.

General expectations met: anonymous standard hotel, short walk to Koga station. Clean, small and state of the art room. The aircondition had to be on a night because being July, the room would otherwise have heated up too much. But cold aircondition air blowing on your bed and head is not a pleasant thing for everyone. The aircondition fan could not be switched off, so there was a draft every night.
