Hotel Apostroff

Nice building, entrance was clean but we arrived late so there were no staff on hand. We collected the key from the restaurant which looked lovely and was busy, but unfortunately we were told they were closed. The chef was very friendly and kindly booked us a table at a tapas bar close by. The room was very basic indeed and we had been given an upgrade so I can’t image what the other room must have looked like. The floor covering was very heavily stained and wasn’t comfortable underfoot. The bathroom was very basis with only a hand held shower over the bath.

Loved the size of the room and the balcony. WIFI was great. Close walk to town. Free parking. Lots of television stations and ability to use Netflix. English speaking front desk. Needed a fridge. We found out on the second day that we could rent one. Wished they had mentioned it when we checked in, or even better, when we made the reservation. The AC was okay but not great. Needed a sheet rather than a heavy comforter on the bed.

the only thing is that we did not have a mini bar/minifridge in the room, which is very convenient when travelling with children. you can rent it though.

The breakfast was good and the reception area very attractive. We did not know when booking that we would be in a separate building, in an apartment. The "double" bed was two single beds pushed together. There was no drinking water in the rooms, so I had to go looking for some at like 3am. I had to get dressed and go the main hotel building, where although I could get in, I could not find water. We waited a long time for an EV charger. It is a very slow charger, like a kilometre a minute. We needed 130 km, so we had to wait a long time. We were not sure how to use it, being tourists from Ireland, but reception staff had no idea and didn't really seem to think it was their problem if we were stuck there.

Good location to visit the beach and the CX event. Ample space in the rooms. A nice selection for breakfast. Good parking. After our stay we felt the property was a bit over priced. Partly due to the basic features of the room and partly due to the restaurant being closed for two nights and fully booked for the other two. Also the hot water was not that hot which made running a bath tricky.

The room is large and comfortable. The restaurant A-koté is really good. The breakfast is rather poor. No vegetables, no fish.

Hotel Apostroff is an excellent compromise: nor far away from the beach but also with swimming pool facilities (in case of rain) The building is getting old. Maybe some renovation could help.

A really lovely hotel, very clean with pleasant staff and great facilities. Great location, would recommend. The room was too warm, even with the window open it was difficult to sleep at times. One of our rooms had a portable air-con unit but the family room we had didn't. No tea or coffee facilities in the rooms.

Breakfast and coffee machine. Room good space. Terrace very lovely. Paying for gym. No aircon in gym. Basement odd/spooky, locating gym. No waffles for breakfast we were in Begium. :) Aircon in room being limited to two hours, woke up in night needing to restart.
