Hotel street access and surroundings extremely run down. Not a pleasant way to get in and out whether by foot or by car. Wet market right across road with strong odour Hotel corridors too dimmed for my liking

I recently stayed at Le Méridien Kota Kinabalu and had a pleasant experience overall. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making for a relaxing stay. The hotel's location is excellent, with shopping malls, restaurants, and other amenities within easy walking distance. The area is lively and always bustling, largely due to the market located directly across the street, which adds to the vibrant atmosphere of the city. Overall, I would recommend Le Méridien Kota Kinabalu for its comfortable accommodation and convenient central location. One minor drawback is that there is a noticeable fish smell near the entrance of the building. However, this appears to be unavoidable given the proximity to the nearby market and does not affect the rooms or overall quality of the stay.

As usual, this is 3rd times coming. Room is spacious. Lounge is nice. Best seaview and sunset. Breakfast also good. Nice and friendly staff. Upset a bit cause have put request & remind many times to get our 3 rooms nearest each others. Not cheap we paid. Still they not able to accomodate. Frustrating! Room is quite late to be ready.

Loved the staff, all so very helpful. Special mention to Rocky in taking care of our baggage/providing directions and Reazie for her restaurant recommendations, sunny disposition and going all out to please her guests. Some of the decor a bit dated (ie. the carpeting in the hallways and rooms).

Service excellence especially from the Concierge desk. Rocky was especially helpful in helping me connect with his colleague at the Mulu Marriott and Miller was so helpful in addressing my shock that our flight to Mulu was cancelled. We also booked a tour through the desk and were bery pleased. No complaints

The breakfast spread was great and delicious. Customer service is top notch. Not forgetting, I had an amazing sunset sea view of the South China Sea from my hotel room! The showerhead fitting was loose. Other than that, all is good.

I am very satisfied with my stay at Le Méridien Kota Kinabalu, as always. Great facilities, comfortable room, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Just one small area for improvement: in one of the rooms, the shower door could not be fully closed, causing water to flow out and make the toilet floor quite wet. Hopefully this can be looked into for future guests.
