The hotel is easy to access, staff are friendly and the location is convenient. There are options for food and drink nearby and the rooms are large and clean. The hotel boasts striving for green and has signs that they will not clean the room everyday and have water available on multiple floors. Unfortunately they did not actually deliver on this, my room was cleaned the first day, including new towels and additional plastic bottles of water placed in my room. Also, the water available is only on the 9th floor and was unaccessible on my last day as there was construction there. I love to see hotels trying to support the environment, however, they must follow through on the initiative. In a city that has a coastline riddled with trash one would think this be a higher priority. Also the noise level in the room is fine if no one is next to or above you, otherwise you can hear movement, water running and doors slamming.

The location is great and the staff was fantastic, very accommodating and professional. The property is very rundown. The quality of air in the rooms is unacceptably bad. I think it poses a health hazard. I’m not sure how this hotel is still operating considering the room condition.

I have stayed here 3 times before the pandemic. The Hotel has been decorated and altered particularly at ground level. The ground level toilets have been improved but are smaller. The bar has gone, the complimentary toiletries have gone and the internal telephone system does not work. It was 2 days into my stay before the hot water system worked. The information for guests in the rooms were out of date. My room had a fridge that was automatically turned off whenever you went out. The on-site restaurant catered specifically for the Chinese -all signs and literature were in Mandarin. To contact reception and/or room service I had to take the lift down to the reception as the room phone did not work properly. The receptionist would then contact housekeeping by mobile phone.
