Mines Beach Resort Hotel

Nice breeze , free bottle water in the room and fresh ice citrus water at the lobby. The lake view is stunning. No towels wash clothes and hand towels upon checking in. Requested and staff brought in more towels.

The breakfast was excellent, offering a great variety of dishes that are palatable. There are buggy drivers there to take you back to your villa room. Room service is very fast and responsive. The staffs are not responsive, incompetent and unproffesional. The king size bed turned out to be two single-beds, the gap in the middle was uncomfortable to sleep on and I ended up sleeping only at one side. The only reason I get to sleep soundly at all is because of my exhausting day at work. Most importantly, the staffs should be more professional in handling any situations. It feels like they are not even trying to be helpful and can't really solve my problems. I asked for an umbrella to get back to villa without any covered-pathway, the reception pushed me to the security and the security said he only has one reserved to escort new customers. Am I not their customer? The entire conversation feels rude and unpleasant. One of the buggy drivers told me that the departure time to The Mines Shopping Mall was 6pm when I reached there at 5.50pm so I quickly ran to the toilet for a while. When I came out less than a few minutes later, the buggy had already departed, leaving me behind there. That was irritable and unprofessional. Room service needs to be improved as well. Train the foreign workers on their languange command to better understand customer's need. The rooms are acceptable but given the surroundings of the villa, mosquitoes and bugs are a major problem and need to be handled more properly. The shower was a nightmare, going crazy from freezing icy water to boiling water. The fluctuations of the temperature was uncontrollable and left a disappointing shower experience all throughout my stay.

I liked nothing at all , everything was miserable ! First of all I waited for the room to get ready , I told her find me higher floor she said ok , then I kept waiting for long then asked my room Is ready she said yes !!!! They even forget to tell me my room is ready ! Then she got my a noisy room then I had to change waiting for room change and then , room clean but old old old , food was terrible , after all they charged me for late check out which was 3pm for 50 RM !!I expected it will Be complementary as apology but no seriously worst experience every so sad for the money not worth it !

Breakfast ok but menu same & not many choice..i stayed there for 1 week.Dont swim there artificial beach water colour turn green No phone, housekeeping late around 3 pm everyday..i went back from work at 2 pm still pending housekeeping..For villa mattress is ok but for double single room the most uncomfortable matress ever very thin like in the army camp..

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Fiza at the front desk was especially helpful with excellent service and professionalism. I definitely want to give her a 10/10 rating. We also loved the balcony of the room with a beautiful view of the lake and sunset. Even though some facilities looked a bit outdated, but the value is good?. It’s also very close to a mall with restaurants and grocery shopping inside. Very convenient.

Very good and valuable for money

The location is very good and strategic to access to the mall and nearby food court within walking distance and there is even shuttle provided from hotel to mall. The room is clean and comfortable. The WiFi was extremely poor despite being a 4-star hotel where the internet was not usable throughout my stay where working and browsing is impossible to do so unless you have your own internet network.

The event manager was helpful. Making sure I had all the assistance I needed. The room allocated wasn't that far from the lobby. Accesible via stairs and lifts 1. Shoddy housekeeping, bed wasn't made properly, tissue behind the chaor was there even before we arrived. They didnt remove the emptu water bottles, nor the dishes from room service 2. The shower tap was loose and we had to conplain about it. 3. No face towel. 4. The coffee house person in charge of the registration was super unfriendly.

When you first walk in, the Lobby is fantastic, with a large open space and balconies overlooking the water. We had a villa with the same fantastic view, especially at night. I found the beds to be very comfortable, the room itself was clean and the breakfast was buffet style and quite good When we arrived, there were dirty dishes outside our room, I'm guessing from room service from the previous guests. When we left the following day, the dirty dishes were still there. There was mould across the bottom of the shower curtain, and the shower mixer tap was broken. To access 'the beach', we had to walk up a driveway, up stairs to the lobby, just to walk down 4 stories of other stairs to get to the beach. There was no cafe, drinks or snacks, or any facilities other than deck chairs on the beach. In short, a lot of things had been 'let go' and were very tired and old.
