Great location This does not meet the standards I have come to expect from the Hilton brand. The carpets were filthy dirty and the breakfast was not extremely expensive. The hotel is also quite tired and needs some updating. There were not enough loungers at the pool.

It's a perfect place to stay in Kuching. Steps from the waterfront and right in the middle of everything. Our room had an incredible view of the river, so much so that we ended up just sitting and staring out the window for long stretches. The shower was incredibly strong and satisfying, and everything was clean. Of course there was also five star service and friendliness from the staff. Breakfast was also a positive, with plenty of options, especially the freshly made food and pastries. My only real complaint is that the breakfast area was far too cold. I didn't pack any cold weather clothes, so every day at breakfast I had to put on every layer I had just so I could be comfortable. Otherwise, the pool was a bit small, given the number of guests. Also, while the breakfast was very good, most of the pre-prepared options we tried were mediocre. Also, since everything was pork-free to accommodate Muslim guests (understandable), things like kolo mee were done with chicken as opposed to the pork you would get at any Chinese restaurant nearby. These are minor complaints though. I would happily stay here again.

The view from our room was fabulous as we were given an upgrade. The staff were delightful and so helpful and friendly. The food in the restaurant was fabulous. The room was freezing and I couldn't adjust the thermostat. The ed mattress was like concrete which was very disappointing, given how much we paid for the room.

The Chef, waiters and Cafe. The location was also excellent due to nearness to the Sarawak River The pillow was too soft and we had no body wash.
