SOTETSU GRAND FRESA KUMAMOTO

The facility was clean and very funtional and comfortable bedding and mattress. The staff were nice enough to provide all information and was helpful. The breakfast was a bit too repetitive and less selection of western food choices. A foul order from toilet specifically was very unusual in A hotel at this level.

The best hotel I stayed on this trip. My room is large and comfortable. It's centrally located. The shopping street is just below the hotel. So convenient.

Very good location very close to many restaurants and night life if you’re looking for that as well as all that being located in a covered shopping arcade and a convenience store on the block and parking garage a block away! Not any negative about the property

The hotel is well-located, close to major attractions and dining options. It’s also a short 5-minute walk to the nearest tram and bus stops. The rooms are cozy and very quiet, with no external noise reaching the interior. It’s a great place for travelers wanting to pack light, as they provide a coin laundry and various travel essentials. They do offer breakfast, though we didn't get a chance to try it. Staff was polite and professional. The only downside for us was that bottled water is not provided.

The location is next to a shopping arcade with lots of food and shopping options. The check in and check out process were both fast and efficient. The staff are very polite and helpful. The rooms are not too small and very clean. It has everything you need for a trip. None

No parking but you can use 24 hrs parking, 5 minutes walk. Nothing much.

The hotel is nothing special, but is very solid in every way. I would definitely stay here again. The location is absolutely excellent, directly next to the shopping and restaurant area. Parking was a bit complicated. They only offer discounts at surrounding parking lots but there were times when they were all full and we had to park rather far away. But the parking issue seems to be a bit of a universal experience in Kumamoto. I don’t think other places are better.

Slightly small room and bad pillows

Clean rooms, well designed space, I like the headboard with lighting and plenty of spaces to put phones and stuff. Location is decent with lots of dining and shopping options nearby, easily accessible by cars and taxi, we hired a van to take our family of 8 around, and driver had no problem. Breakfast is complete with Asian and western options and was never crowded. Staff is great, very attentive and helpful. Location is a bit off the main shopping arcade, so it's an extra block of walk to get to tram. There is only one coffee machine at breakfast, not really a problem because with all the food variety, coffee is really an afterthought.

Location was great. Behind a small alley, but it is just a 2mins walk to Sunroad Shinshigai which is an old fashioned shopping street with plenty of food and shops. Kumamoto Castle is not that far off too, around 20mins walk I think. Room and facilities were great too. Strong hot water from the taps/shower, and a nice range of food at breakfast. None

The price is reasonable and better than expected from reviews. Cleanses and facility was excellent. Nothing I didn’t like.

Extremely kind & helpful receptionists. Quick check-in, plus they gave me top floor room w/ view of Kumamoto Castle. Impeccably clean. Comfortable bed. And then there’s the nifty coffee packets. Very close to Main Street and the castle. Space the light switches better.

Well located, clean, really spacious rooms

The location is wonderful. It's super easy to get access to the convenience store and the shopping area. You can also get a taxi around the corner. The facilities were very clean, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. We didn't reserve a rental car in advance, and on the day we planned to go to Mt. Aso, Toyota Car Retal told us that there were no cars. Not knowing what to do, we returned to the hotel and asked the front desk to help us. Within seconds, they found another car rental venue for us. They saved our day! It's a hotel that I would recommend to anyone who wants to visit Kumamoto. Nope

This hotel is located in town right next to the arcades, shopping/mall and not a far walk to the castle. It is a basic room but super clean with a modern bathroom. For the price you can't beat it.
