Hotel Keihan Kyoto Hachijoguchi

Nice Hotel, my family has stayed 6 nights there, friendly staff, good facilities and good location. There’s a nice public bath free to guests, which is really relaxing after whole day’s walking. 5 minutes walking to JR Tokyo station and Kujo subway station, and many eating places nearby. We chose twice Eco cleaning mode cleaning because 6 nights stay, linens need not changing but the bed still should be made.

Easy to access from train stations. Lots of options around the area for food and shopping. Staff was friendly and helpful. Great to have an onsen after a long day of walking! Slightly more expensive than other hotels

The room was bigger than my family and I expected, and the facilities were very clean. The staff were super helpful and were able to explain things well such as the luggage forwarding system and things to do around the area. My family and I opted to do the breakfast with our stay and we greatly appreciated the menu changing daily and having staples as well. I do not recall anything I did not like, nor my family.

Good location, it's about a 10-minute walk to Kyoto Station. You can also reach Aeon Mall on foot in about 10 minutes, where you can find plenty of places to eat. This is especially convenient during the evening. Smelly carpets, dusty room, and a tiny toilet in the room like it was made for a baby. A tall adult can barely fit in the tiny bathroom. The breakfasts were okay, but honestly, they didn't taste very good. We only went once. The AC in the first-floor lobby is turned up way too high. It's freezing in there, impossible to sit and relax.

10 minute walk from Kyoto station. The staff were friendly and attentive. They have amenities you can take as you please and the onsen was enjoyable. There were no dislikes

The beds were comfortable and the hotel is not far from Kyoto station, which is nice after a long journey. The hotel was clean and has a high-end feel. There is an onsen on-site, though we did not use it. Breakfast was generally disappointing. Compared with other hotel breakfasts we had in Japan, it was less than stellar. There was a variety of things to choose from, but they were not very inspiring. It would have been better to pick up some items from a nearby convenience store. Also, it was the only hotel where we had to bus our own table. It's not a big deal, but given that it's supposedly a 4-star hotel, it should not be necessary. Also, the tiny bathroom had nowhere to place toiletry items apart from on a corner of the tub.

Everything was perfect, it was a great experience. The staff was super friendly. Rooms where clean and provide everything you need as in amenities where down stairs. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Couldn't use the onsen because I had tattoos.

This is the best place you can stay. It’s just a few minutes from the central station and several other subway and bus lines. You can get anywhere very quickly and move around the city with ease. The room is incredibly spacious, the staff are extremely friendly, the onsen is perfect after a day of exploring, and the breakfast buffet is delicious. It’s reasonably priced and will save you a lot of time. I couldn’t recommend a better place for your stay in Kyoto. Plus, if you plan to visit other cities, its location makes traveling incredibly convenient and hassle-free.

It is very close to Kyoto station, restaurant and malls. The installation are really nice. The bed are very comfortable. It is small room but I think that’s the normal size in Japan. The breakfast was delicious.

I don’t like the sheets and comforter as a single unit. I was too hot when covered up and cold when I took it off.

Nice hotel, good staff, nice room with lots of amenities (hair ties, slippers, pjs, different kinds of tea, coffee, toiletries). The onsen is a nice touch and so are the popsicles in the lobby, as well as a cold water dispenser. Only a 7-8 minute walk to Kyoto train station. Also close to bus and subway stations to get everywhere. Automatic check in was a bit complicated and the staff member had trouble explaining it to us. They only allow one water container per day in the room, which can be insufficient. Breakfast on the pricey side, the hotel price is also a bit high for the value.

The location is close to several restaurants. Walkable to a supermarket. The front desk staff was rude, not listening and refusing to extend basic courtesy. English was broken to non-existent or the staff just avoided speaking it for lack of confidence and training. The whole stay felt cold. The lobby area is small. It was a run down hotel with robots running the show.

Friendly staff, amenities were tops. Breakfast was amazing! Too many guests that hotel cannot catch up with the cleanliness of the hotel. This was my second time staying, but when I stayed the first time, everything was orderly and clean even the washroom in the main lobby.
