Reopened after renovations in March 2017, OYO旅館 晴輝京都ステーション Kyoto is just a 3-minute walk from Hachijo East Exit of Kyoto Station. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property. There is a kimono rental corner on the first floor. Guest rooms have modern Japanese-style decor with tatami (woven-straw) flooring and are air conditioned. They are equipped with a private bathroom, TV, fridge and an electric kettle. Seiki Ryokan has a nonsmoking policy and offers luggage storage before check-in at the reception. Bus discount tickets and city maps are available at the reception. Property staff will assist guests in making travel and tour arrangements. Station Ryokan Seiki is located close to shops and restaurants. The Nishi Hongan-ji Temple and the Kyoto National Museum are less than a mile away. To-ji Temple is an 11-minute walk from the property. Fushimi Inari-taisha is 15 minutes away via train and walk. A shopping mall is located a 9-minute stroll away from the Hotel.

It is very lovely especially if you want to stay in a traditional Japanese room. Perfect for those who only stay in the hotel to sleep and bathe. Very close to Kyoto Station as well.

The room was nice, the experience of sleeping on the floor was very special Non insulating walls (you can hear everything from the neighbors and outside), no curtains so you wake up from the light, cramped bathroom and toilet.

The towels were dirty, stained and were hair around all the bathroom and the room

Great location. It’s walking distance to Kyoto Station. Although a bit tight, the rooms are clean and cozy.

They don't tell you anywhere that you need to pay an "accomodation fee" of 200 Yen per person per night. Probably no big deal but it's good to be clear and inform clients in advance.

Great location and perfect for solo traveller. The tatami room was really lovely. Big plus that it was very close to Kyoto station. The walls are very thin. You can hear voices from the other rooms.

Location was fantastic, just between Gojo Karasuma station and Kyoto main station, few cafes and restaurants around and convenience stores just a short walk down. Room was small but very cute, if you don’t mind small spaces it’s a lovely little room for one person. Staff were not present often if at all, I organised a second futon in advance for a friend who was staying with me ( not planned to be with me before I booked, very last minute) and was approved for said futon, however despite mentioning to the staff member that it was approved by the hotel representative, I was refused the futon. Tried to organise it a second time however it didn’t end up working out that time either. We ended up just sharing one for the rest of the week. Not ideal but could have been worse. Oddly the hotel entrance door was never locked either, even very late at night. Otherwise, I really enjoyed my stay, thanks for having us!
