Hyatt Regency Kyoto

Beautiful hotel - warm, inviting and relaxing. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Lots of breakfast options in a lovely dining room overlooking a small garden. Easy walking to metro station, some shopping and restaurants. The Geisha performance with welcome drinks was a nice treat. A bit on the pricey side for Japan but we appreciated the tranquility in a fairly busy city. Also a bit remote.

The staff including Thea at the breakfast restaurant and Momoko at the Italian restaurant were attentive, sweet & amazing. Everyone was so kind and respectful. The Italian restaurant was excellent! We ate there almost daily. Overall the location was great, food was great & service by everyone was outstanding. The taxi ride to their hotel was a plus. The Maiko show was also another highlight to the trip. The room they placed us in felt small and was located at the bottom floor. The vents at the restaurant were dirty. I kept sneezing realizing that I was placed under a vent.

Very clean and had everything we needed. Good breakfast. Everything was excellent.

Several nice amenities. Overall friendly and responsive staff No garden. Very poor view from the room. Breakfast space was full quickly and then you have to wait, which could be inconvenient sometimes. Relatively small rooms; somewhat ‘high tech’ p.e. managing the lights in the room. No iron in the room.

I heard that this hotel will be closing next year. It is very disappointing.

Quality hotel with good staff. We waited long line for breakfast. I think hotel is good but compared to the price I paid, I could not be satisfied. Restaurants staff were friendly. They need to clean the gym. The hotel bar closes at 23:00 - very early for a hotel facility.

Everything about this hotel was exceptional - comfort, service, cleanliness, location - all with amazing attention to detail! Food for breakfast and dinners was amazing too. Best hotel we stayed at in Japan.

This hotel was extremely overpriced for an outdated rundown property. The beds were old, the carpet dirty there was residual mold in the tub shower area. There were no amenities at this hotel and the breakfast was very overpriced for a so so selection and quality. This property needs to be renovated with ammonites like a convenience store. Or the hotel rate should be much lower to reflect the condition of the property.

Bar could be better, I love hotel bars that pays a lot of attention in quality and details for classic menu.

Luxurious and very classy. Staff was both friendly and sophisticated. Concierge staff went out of their way to provide excellent restaurant recommendations and then get us reservations, even at Japanese only traditional dinners. Our room was large with a comfortable king size bed and very quiet. The downstairs bar was very cool being both hip and laid back. Breakfast buffet was excellent.

The rooms were big that I got and the service was great Needs to be updated but they are doing that now so new rooms coming. Also they need to serve the famous iced coffee drink all year not seasonal

Staff were so amiable and helpful. Breakfast was gorgeous.

Great Location, Great Food, Prices were reasonable enough. Small room, small Bathroom doesn’t have a Lock Door, small TV.
