It was very clean and comfortable. We checked in at night and there was no staff and only the machine so that’s fine but sometimes it causes problems. But it was OK. I called the hotel in the morning to extend our check out and the staff was super friendly and very nice. Prices in Japan for hotels have been rising with increased tourism. It was a bit expensive for the simple room. However, I only booked it about 10 days in advance so that might’ve been part of it too.

Quiet room despite the insane tourist bustle in the Sanjo area Great shower experience - horizontal jets as well as hand held and rainfall heads. I need a kettle, mug and spoon in a 3-star room. The room rate is certainly enough to cover this. Please provide access to this. If not in each room, then there MUST be a tea and coffee machine available 24/7 in the lobby.

Location was just PERFECT bedrooms were spacious compared to what we had in previous hotels. And the shower was a Must ! Sorry but the light free breakfast isn’t really necessary…

Very central location, clean and comfortable hotel. Friendly staff. Washing machines and free amenities. The frosted windows!! (you can open them though). The breakfast tray is extremely small.

We were sorry that we couldn’t choose breakfast from a buffet, but in the end the Japanese-style breakfast was excellent. We also really appreciated being able to do our own laundry at the hotel at a low cost. The shower was very well designed (separate from the toilet and sink, which is very practical). We were disappointed that there was no electric kettle in the room or any option to make tea or coffee at the hotel. It is also relatively far from the metro/train, but it’s still within walking distance. Bus lines are closer to the hotel.

Excellent hotel with quite large rooms very near to the heart of the downtown. Breakfast was served a la carte, and was pretty basic so I would skip it as there were plenty of choices for food or coffee nearby. Staff was very helpful and classy. Absolutely nothing to complain about.

We loved the free breakfast! We loved the umbrella we could borrow on the rainy day, as we only had one small umbrella. We especially loved the AMAZING shower room with its MULTIPLE shower heads and sprays. Wow! We were satisfied with everything; nothing we didn't like.

The staff is very welcoming and friendly. The design on the hotel and the room are modern, nice and comfortable. The room was pretty spacious. Everything was clean and nice. Heat regulation of the room was helpful for your winter visit. Loved the location. A lot of nice shops, coffee shops, restaurants are nearby.

The shower. It was like a stand up onsen. Hot, many nozzles aimed at the body, plus rain forest shower overhead. The beds were comfy. Temperature controls goof. The hotel was a half block from a Family Mart, one block to the main road to catch the bus to Arashiyama Forest, one block to the central mall and 4 minutes walk to Nishiki market. Check in and out easy, free toiletries. No hot pot to make coffee but they give you one at the lobby on request. Hotel itself was modern, simple, up to date. Compared to most Japanese hotels, breakfast was a little dry and skimpy... Two pieces of dry bread, one boiled egg, a tablespoon of potato salad, coffee. But I am nitpicking: the calories were good enough to start the day. So much to eat anyway in Kyoto, food should be the least concern.
