Excellent location Nothing

The staff were so friendly and accomodating. They helped us figure out shipping our baggage and spent time giving us recommendations. They were so kind and had great hospitality! Would definitely stay again.

The staff was incredible; we loved seeing them each day & looked forward to breakfast each morning. It was also amazing staying in an old machiya — a traditional wooden home. This gave us the ryokan experience we wanted at least once on our trip to Japan.

They were amazing!!! The whole place is gorgeous, very Japanese traditional, showcasing the culture and adding to the stay experience. All the details they added added to the luxury. Staff was absolutely amazing, took care of everything, went above & beyond to help us with booking events, reservations, helping with translation for taxi and just being super friendly and helpful. n/a

The property is very cute and very comfortable. The staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful. It is a short walk to the subway station and there are a lot of places to eat or get coffee around there and it is also close to a convenient store and a supermarket. It is a pleasant walk to Gion, or you can hub on the metro and you are one station away from there. Our family loved our stay, and we will definitely be back.

Breakfast was an excellent European style meal. Croissants were amazing. I’m too old for traditional Japanese futon bed. The futon itself was highest quality and very comfortable, but I’m no longer limber enough to enjoy getting up from the floor every morning.

The room was very spacious, and it and the common areas were unbelievably serene. The staff were all extremely pleasant, and breakfast was sumptuous, with a lot of variety - eggs, cereal, fresh juices, yogurt etc.

We really like the hospitality from the beginning of check-in, until the check out Very kind people and wonderful place to stay

The room was spacious and the entire space was tidy and nicely decorated. The staff were welcoming and made us feel at home. They provided suggestions on places to go and were overall extremely accomodating.

Extremely nice and beautiful and amazingly friendly staff.
-
thin walls - you hear a lot, but it is refurbished from an old house so cannot really complain.

Absolutely beautiful small ryokan. The staff was super nice, polite and helpful through out my stay. I will plan a trip back to Akihito just to stay here again. I had to leave…I would have loved to stay longer

Beautiful room, excellent service

The welcome by the staff was very nice. The Ryokan was typical for Kyoto. Small but very clean and as it was our honeymoon they put some flowers in the room and we recieved a nice card and a voucher for a free glass of wine, what was much appreciated. Everything was great.

Small intimate hotel on a small quiet street. Nicely appointed comfortable rooms. Your breakfast was always made to order. The hotel staff was absolutely fantastic. There is nothing about the property that we didn’t like

This hotel was so cute - it blended Eastern & Western styles into a clean a comfortable room. The room was spacious and even had a living room. The staff of the hotel were so wonderful and eager to help! Would highly recommend! Our only complaint was that it was a bit of a walk to the main tourist areas of the city. However, one of the subway lines was very close so that helped make up for it!

The most delightful stay - absolute 5 stars! Exceptional service and beautifully appointed rooms.
