Perfect location! Few steps from the subway station - Kiyomizu- Gojo. Few mins walk to Kiyomizu-dera. Clean and very spacious room. We had a very comfortable stay. The staffs were also very nice. They also offers free shuttle car service to Kyoto station which was very helpful for us because we were carrying lots of luggage. Nothing

Location. So close to the metro station, and it's close (2-3 stops) from key places such as the Nishiki market, the Sawaramachi and Sanjo districts. Also close to Gion and Fushimi Inari. Has shuttle service to/from the Kyoto Station. Be sure to reach out and arrange that before you arrive. It was loud every night. Be sure to pack or buy ear plugs.

Breakfast served not earlier then 7:00 AM. If needed to leave earlier than 7:00 AM and you paid for breakfast you are not able to get even a cup of coffee

Staff were very friendly (english speaking as well) and offered many services and free treats during the stay. Location is great, right next to a train station.

Great breakfast selection. Definitely it is not best value for what we paid for ($55K Yen) for a night. The hotel could not accommodate with a single request to keep the same room for us to start with the Exodus AOP 13 tour.

It was close to the metro station The staff, they were absolutely inflexible with my requests, the rate per night and them being called 4* didn’t match. There was no water available in the room. The staff was not at all helpful. Didn’t care although they renamed their hotel. The service was really bad

SUI is awesome! The staff are excellent!! They go ou it their way to help us foreigners as we try to figure out the Japanese cultures. Love it!! We booked a premium room with 2 twin beds. Wow! It was so very tiny!! Zero room to unpack! Second - the breakfast was equal to $25.00. I feel this was way too expensive for the offerings at the hotel. This does not reflect on the staff. The staff are so amazing! Thank you

Good location with a nice view from the room Insufficient clothes washing and drying machines. Rooms could do with a bit more cleaning.

The towels felt like sandpaper and the rooms are very poorly sound insulated from the road. We were awoken by vehicles outside multiple times.

Decent room but no amenities including no closet for clothes and no breakfast at a cost that isn’t cheap. Add a location that’s fairly far from the main attractions and it makes this a bit of a bad choice.

The location seems to be very central and it’s close to metro stop. If I go back to Kyoto I will chose an even more central location

Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Clean and quite spacious room Pyjamas provided. Handy sachets of facial cleansers and wash,body scrub cloth Hot beverage and water dispenser at lobby which was so comforting during the drizzly cold 5 days we stayed there. User friendly washer and dryer. Price for a 3 star hotel. The subway station though very near to the hotel doesn't directly to connect to many stations where places of interests are located.

The rooms were simple and nice with a good location Maybe a little more helpful with the luggage sending system to explain why we couldn’t send it to our next hotel in our trip.
