The location itself is a tourist attraction. The perfect blend of old world and new world that complements itself beautifully. The bath was out of this world! The staff are warm and inviting. Super helpful and accommodating. Couldn’t recommend this location more!

The property was very clean, but I only have three rooms very limited amenities. Our room was on the second floor. The stairway was incredibly steep. Property had very limited amenities

Beautiful facilities with lovely and helpful staff in the most beautiful part of Kyoto. Like walking into another world. The room was sizeable and the amenities were amazing. Dyson Hairdryers in the room for example. I cannot think of anything I didn't like.

Stepping into this Ryokan felt like stepping into a sanctuary. It was so clean and peaceful and tasteful. We enjoyed the thoughtful touches and the fantastic location. The staff were beyond kind and helpful. They provided a beautiful vegetarian Japanese breakfast upon request. Recommended. No view out the window.

The traditional Japanese breakfast was excellent. The location is absolutely perfect. Close to everything, but in a very quiet and low-traffic alley. The staff is absolutely fantastic.

Super awesome. Location. 10 min taxi ride to main shinkansen Kyoto station. Lawson's near by. Beautiful delightful staff. Bespoke approach to hotel. Gave us a lovely sake gift because it was our honeymoon. The bath was INCREDIBLE. finally, something like an onsen that both me, and my partner, could use together.

The place was so beautiful and was true authentic Japanese culture and style. Beautiful, relaxing and the breakfast was delicious! I can’t say enough wonderful things about the staff…..they were the best!! Did not want to leave! Can’t wait to go back and bring my other daughter!! Nothing

Everything was absolutely wonderful! The room was very serene with a lovely wood bathtub. The Japanese style beds were comfortable and the whole place was designed with care creating a very beautiful and peaceful environment.. The hotel is located on a tiny street just off the main road in Gion - the whole experience felt very authentic. The staff were fantastic - they arranged for a western breakfast one morning and a Japanese breakfast on another day and took care of all my dietary restrictions. They were very warm and welcoming and helped with all our planning. This is a gorgeous place and a perfect introduction to Kyoto! Thank you to all the staff!

Well situated in a location that is easy walking distance to restaurants, shopping and visiting places of historic significance. Absolutely nothing.

This was such a special place to stay! The team made a huge effort to make us feel welcome. I had messaged them in advance about my boyfriend’s severe allergies and they went out of their way to accommodate us for a traditional Japanese breakfast. Which was delicious! As well as find restaurants that could accommodate allergies. We had such a peaceful night sleep and woke up feeling refreshed for a day of sightseeing around Kyoto, with everything on our doorstep.
