Hotel room had a simple design layout but not your typical Japanese size. The lavatory was outside of the bathroom. Bathroom had a soaking tub with tiled walls and floor with a skinny shower stall and toilet. The two twin beds extended the width of the room with a wired glass window looking out onto an adjacent building. Hotel was near the City Hall station, Kamo River, and Pontocho Alley. Carpeting rather than wood floors would be more comfortable for your feet. Better air conditioner controls for temperature and vent direction.

Location was the best. Adjacent to Bal department store, near Uniqlo/Loft and within walking distant to Nishiki food market. I didn’t like the fact that they clean your room every 2 days. There should be an option for that. I’d prefer to pay for them to make my bed everyday.

Great location and walking distance to some main touristy things - Gion, Pontocho alley and great shops and restaurants nearby. Walking distance to train station. Decent sized room and bathroom. Soft beds for Japan standards (which was nice)!
