Stay SAKURA Kyoto Fuga

Rating a 9 because both chairs in my unit were very sketchy. If I leaned back on either, they would have broke.

Clean toilet and bathroom. Decent lobby for this accommodation level. Not convenient for families with younger kids. Small table and fridge. Not well connected to the central station (poor bus service even though only 2-3 stops away from the central station)

Enjoyed everything about our stay, comfortable beds, basic amenities provided for our stay. Toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, body wash, washer for clothes. Spacious room. It was a good 25 minutes walking to Kyoto station, subway was 220 yen and was about 10 minutes from hotel.

? Staffs are very kindly,good service and good place . I want to stay again. I want to more towel and water .

I loved the washing machine in the room. So helpful! There wasn't a way for staff to communicate our luggage arrival. Maybe leave a note? I didn't see a phone in the room. Perhaps I missed it? We were really busy while we were in Kyoto.

Quality / price

So, I chose this place because it was a brisk walk to Fushimi Inari and I wanted that walk early in the morning. It worked, but its far away from pretty much everything else. Also, I learned the hard way that the "dry" button on the washer doesn't mean its also a dryer. And I did the not so smart thing of throwing alot of clothes in and had to hang them out for 2 days. It got the job done.

The shower room and indoor laundry was an absolute plus! Loved the balcony. The 3rd bed was not comfortable. The front desk staff left for break right when we were trying to turn in our suitcase shopping hotel to hotel and we didn’t have much help in figuring it out. The WiFi was slow that day too and it was hard to complete. We got it done but it took a long time.

Quiet part of town, close to Mount Inari, Toji Temple, restaurants and many onsens. Walking distance from main station. Staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke English. The room was adequate and had a small garden. Great place to stay if you spend most of the day out and need a place to crash. Free washing machine in room. Pillows were synthetic and rather hard.

Quiet area and easy to navigate. The hotel is clean. I like it. Staff very nice and helpful It’s not walking distance to Kyoto station but the smaller train station actually ok to walk.

The room was very spacious, comfortable and had a washing machine available, which made it convenient. Staff was very attentive. Entering the bedroom I immediately noticed how dirty it was, including a lot of dust on the carpet, around the bed and even tv remote, stained curtains and walls but the worst part was the dirty washing machine compartment (black). Within 30 minutes of the check-in I informed the staff which immediately cleaned the washing machine and the dust around the bed. On the 4th day of my stay there was a cleaning planned, as they don’t clean daily due to ecological reasons, however, they don’t wipe surfaces nor vacuum. There were the same dust and stains intact, and even hair as they didn’t vacuum. The cleaning standards in this hotel was disappointing, which is a shame as the room in itself was very nice.

Spacious room. Good amenities. Clean. Free coffee available at the reception. You need to walk a few minutes to get to the nearest bus stop. Close also to a train station where you can take a train to Osaka.

The hotel facilities are very good, the staff polite, and room is big enough for 2 people with big luggage. But, unfortunately the room and balcony are quite dusty although we can still tolerate it. Other than that everything is perfect.

The couch has several stains on it, the bedframe is dusty...I'm concerned about the hygiene of this accommodation.

The rooms having a kitchenette including hotplate, pans, dishes, utensils and mini fridge, etc was convenient. The split bathroom is nice, as was coffee table in addition to dining table, and the patio was a nice extra area, also useful for drying clothes. The pull out couch was made up into a bed for us before we got to the room. We also liked that room cleaning was just scheduled once. Location was convenient across from a green space and playground. We found walking by the river to get to train stops pleasant and interesting for the kids. It is only a couple stops from kyoto station to get to nearest stations, then 10min or so walk. There is also a bus stop out at the street. Better if you are a lighter traveler and aren't pressed for time. It is in a quiet neighborhood across from a Family mart, and we liked the apartment feel. For awareness for other travelers, pullout bed was similar in size to other twin beds, we made it work for family of 4 with kids 5 and 10. Also factor in air drying, there is washer only.

Perfect little apartment. Everything we needed for a longer stay. Beds were super comfortable Location is a little further from town that we would have liked but was able to easily get uber/ taxi to locations, ride scooters or bikes or take a nice long walk to where we needed to go.

The room was spacious and clean. Had a kitchenette and cooking utensils. The washing machine was a little complicated but not their fault Nowhere obvious to dry clothes. We made it work but it could have had a hanging string in the bathroom.
