The hotel room completely exceeded my expectations- the wifi was super fast, the room was extremely big which I'm super satisfied with, the staff were very helpful in calling a taxi/ if I needed any help, there was also free water stations in each floor so I didn't need to buy any water, everything was so handy and this hotel made me feel like I was staying in a 5-star hotel with very good prices

Beautiful quiet location, the rooms were very large and had possibly one of the comfiest beds I’ve ever slept in! Great shower room and extra amenities, loved it! Everything was impeccable!

The room was very spacious and comfortable with lots of nice amenities. It is a small boutique hotel so there aren't really any general areas but the room is very comfortable to hang out in. We liked that it was not right in the main part of town so it was quieter. But that said, close to everything

It was in a quieter area within easy walking distance to the train station. The staff were very nice and attentive, and spoke English. The room was very large, clean and comfortable. We loved the Japanese breakfast that was served in our room.

We really like the location of the place. We like the fact that we could walk and get breakfast or dinner within 10 minutes. Although the property was clean, it was very small. We visited during early April so the prices were outrageous and it was definitely overpriced for the stay and for the size of the room.

Beautiful ground floor room in nondescript building is a quiet part of town. Unfussy excellence. Perfect for us. Nowhere to congregate in common areas (lobby seating). Perfect for couples.

This hotel room was HUGE and such a treat after small Tokyo rooms! Each floor only has two rooms, and the neighborhood was super quiet, so it’s a lovely restful area. The hotel was very close to a main train line into downtown so it was easy to connect. The bed was super comfortable and the wet- room with tub was excellent! The in-room coffee and tea station was a lovely bonus and the view of the mountains was spectacular. Staff was very kind. Would definitely stay again!

We extended our stay for another night, but in a superior king room this time, ahain the location was good for exploring Argashiyama, bed was comfy. Wish we could stay in the same room for both nights.

I was very happy with the quiet location which takes 2-min walk to Saga-Arashimaya station. The personal touch in writing me a welcome card with Origami swans. I like the spacious room which segregated into room of bathtub, vanity, toilet and closet. The green tea sachet is perfectly good for me as it is light taste which soothed me in the night when I took it. Just wonder where can I buy it.... :) Nepresso machine and the towel heater are very useful for me. They served my breakfast punctually. The bed was soft for my back issue. It will be good to have a firm mattress but again understand the Westerners will prefer the softer version while Asians prefer a firm mattress instead.
