It was a ten minute walk to Gion. There was a subway station next to and opposite the hotel. Staff were welcoming and friendly. My room was in the basement which was fine for me. It was by far the best hotel I’ve stayed in so far. It was spotlessly clean, modern and the room was big. All amenities were provided in the room as well as help yourself to tea and coffee. It had the charm of Kyoto style. The bed was super comfortable as were the pillows. Was provided with dressing gown and slippers too. The shower was hot and powerful. I wish I could’ve stayed longer. Highly recommended. Nothing

Checking in was easy and smooth. Staff was very friendly. It was raining when we arrived and he showed us where to get some complementary tea and coffee. He was able to store our luggage since it was not yet check in time. Our room was cosy and inviting. Loved our stay. Nothing.

The location is great and easy to access, can take bus from Kyoto station, about 30 min to the hotel nearby stop, about 5 min walk, many traditional F&B in the area, great for morning walk, and about 10 min walk to Kamogawa and Shijo.

lovely little hotel with super friendly staff. Nice size room and great location with the subway just across the street. Walkable to most attractions. Free tea/coffee and juices in reception Breakfast was very poor, despite it being 'free' it was unpleasant. Cold, wet scrambled egg on a paper pate from the fridge with a slice of 'ham' warmed in the microwave, a mini croissant and a small yogurt cup. Would be better off just doing some croissants and pastries and the tea/coffee. We stayed for 4 nights and only had breakfast once, couldn't face it again!

Nothing to write home about… location was ok. The power shower stole the show. The breakfast was awful… microwave eggs- really? One staff member was rude… probably the only one in all Japan.
-
Close to restaurants and public transit Small room, and the breakfast was sad (as expected based on prior reviews).
-
Breakfast could improve or have a Japanese option for those wanting to experience true Kyoto.
-
Probably the biggest room we had between the paces we’ve stayed in Japan and South Korea. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good.

The location is great.

We loved our room in a beautiful Japanese traditional style and it was so spacious! Hotel’s location is amazing: bus stop is a 2 min walk, subway is a 7 min walk as well. You can get to anywhere, and you can easily walk to Gion too. Staff is very kind and we enjoyed our stay. It is a great value. I don’t really have anything to say. They don’t clean your room that often which is fine as it’s for the environmental purposes . I do think that at least refreshing the towels every 2 days would be helpful but it wasn’t a big deal honestly. The hotel is still awesome.

Pretty good location, walking distance to the Gion. Rooms were set up in the traditional Japanese way. Free coffee/tea in the lobby! Can't think of anything. Good location. My first trip and was surprised by the size of Kyoto.
-
Location and customer service The bathroom exhaust fan went out the last 2 days we were there.

I stayed in a basement room and honestly, it was totally worth it — quiet, comfortable, and great value. The location is also really good, making it easy to get around and explore the city. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location, the decoration is beautiful and the room was so clean, pretty and lighted. The shower was great. All beautifully designed The location was great, near to the train station and just like 15 min walk from the main area We enjoyed so much that we extended our stay Lovely place, just as described, the most beautiful hotel I stayed in while in Japan Thank you so much! We got a free breakfast through Booking.com- the breakfast is not good at all (the eggs aren’t even fresh, and we didn’t ate any of it). Don’t pay for breakfast, there are plenty of other options outside
-
Excellent new boutique hotel. Rooms are lovely. On a busy street but not at all noisy inside. Breakfast is very basic. Better value outside.
-
Signal was a bit bad at times in the basement floor, but nothing too bad

This is a great small hotel. Location is pretty good for Kyoto visitors. Walkable distance to most significant tourist points. Good walkable distance to public transportation and walkable distance to grocery store. Room size was just right for two people with luggage.
-
The location is excellent. You can reach every direction by bus in 3-5 min from the hotel. The room is clean and comfartable. The stuff is very friendly and nice. It was disagreable smell of instullation in our room and they gave us another room besides this one.

Great hotel. It was fairly convenient. It’s adorable with friendly staff. Our room was BIG for Japan.

The breakfast could be improved.
