Comfortable property in an area close to transportation. No microwave on the property.

Our room was spacious, the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good and we enjoyed the different restaurants for dinner two nights. We also liked the bar where we had after dinner drinks several nights. Location was a little further than I would have liked to get to some of the attractions.

Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of choices, and the staff were outstanding. The property is clean and well located. Nothing in particular

Great location. Rooms are spacious and clean. The hotel which was great some years ago.. now it feels and looks rundown and needs upgrades (for example outlets for electronics which nowadays we carry lots!). Holes in the carpet should never be in a 5 star hotel. The front desk staff is dry and barely talks to you even at registration.. same with the concierge. The restaurant food is honestly bad.. canned fruit cocktail? Sliced bread that feels old? .. and the list continues. I used to love this hotel but I think I will look elsewhere next time.

Beautiful property, great staff. We also enjoyed the restaurants on site

Beautiful hotel, extremely large room with very attentive staff. We had 3 people in our group and it was the first hotel room that was magnificently large with an amazing view towards the mountains. Honestly, even though it was a bit more expensive it was not outrageously priced compared to what we spent in Nagoya and Tokyo for far inferior rooms and hotels. We spent almost as much on rooms that were 1/3 of the size. It was a breathe of fresh air to have some space. The front lobby was like an old school luxury hotel with elaborate marble flooring and a grand staircase. Easy walk to the Nashiki Market. My only regret is that we were not able to spend more than one night at this hotel.

Just ok, need more side walls to be cleaned. Hotel is old and require remodeling, does not fit with the name Nikko.
-
Facilities in the room were overwhelming. Parking is a bit expensive compared to others

Room spotless Great view All our requests were met by the hotel, pure pleasure. All of the staff was very friendly and happy to help on each question we had. We would like to mention specifically Siyama-san (the concierge) that helped us in the most friendly and professional way with the shipment of our luggage to Tokyo. All was ok and well maintained.
