Breakfast was not included so not sure. The rates were bit expensive I thought. Bathrooms were a little old. Rooms and sheets were clean. Great tatami experience. Location was good.
-
Traditional ryokan at a good price. Spacious with clean facilities. Within walking distance of multiple attractions Nothing. It was fantastic!

Good Japanese traditional Hotel I like it

Honestly nothing that I can mention that we didnt like. As mentioned, the staff was very helpful and kind to us.

While the kids loved the sleeping on the floor experience it was a little bit uncomfortable for us adults. Price was a little bit on the higher side when compared to other places we have stayed in Japan but it was also the high season so maybe that's expected.

Location, nice staff, room layout. Outdated laundry. One of the washers was out of service, leaving just one to be used. Dryers took over an hour to dry (still not completely dry). Definitely needs updated washers and dryers.

Great breakfast, friendly and amazing staff, location is perfect for traveling around. Overall 10/10!

Loved the public bath to relax after long hours of sightseeing and walking, the room was spacious and clean. There were thoughtful amenities. Breakfast buffet was wonderful.
-
Good location, friendly staff, good facilities The dryer took a long time to dry our clothes and whilst we understand voyons are traditionally harder than western style beds my partner and I found the foto s really, really hard and needed a 3rd one to be more comfortable.

Very unique Ryokan experience. Friendly helpful staff.

Everything is good with affordable price Quite and peace area of Kyoto but still easy to get tourist spot by bus
-
Friendly staff and location The “mats” on the floor to sleep on. Very little padding to protect you from the hard floor. It was extremely uncomfortable unfortunately. If not for this, the stay would’ve been amazing

Room was next to the elevator, and at night, there were two constant noises, that sadly could not be turned off.

Bedding sets were not so clean.

- We also liked that the toilet, shower and sink are separate. - We knew it was a Japanese style room but the beds were rather uncomfortable compared to other we stayed at. - Rooms are quite dirty with dust (table and where the drinking glasses were). - Breakfast must be reserved 3 days in advance. - In the check out day, they can only keep your bags until 3 PM. For 180Euros a night and 4 star hotel we expected a lot more.

The staff was exceptional - so welcoming and friendly. The Japanese breakfast was amazing …a wonderful selection that changed every day with attention to detail and service. The room was big and the provided tea, snacks, yukata, and bottled water were so lovely. The shared bath was great too…such an awesome way to wind down after a day out and about. The facility overall was a bit dated, but suited our needs well and was actually very homey and comfortable, not stuffy or pretentious.

The staff was incredible accommodating and friendly. The room was spacious and beautiful and had all the amenities we needed. We especially loved the experiencing of the breakfast in the morning. The whole stay was a beautiful introduction to Japan. Nothing!

Really fun place. The staff were amazingly friendly.

Although the hotel is older, everything was well-maintained, clean and fully functional. It had a charming, traditional atmosphere that felt authentically Japanese. I really appreciated the peaceful setting and how close it was to the cherry blossoms along the Kamo River. Some of the staff spoke English, and everyone was very friendly. My only complaint is that I wish the food had been served hotter. The selection for the Western breakfast was limited, but I suppose that's to be expected

The room was well kept and the staff was always attentive and helpful! I picked this place specifically for their traditional layout of a ryokan. The bedding was surprisingly soft and warm! The location worked out great for me since I was visiting all over kyoto for their shrines; it was close to a bus station, 7-11 was down the street and a couple of blocks away a shopping center. The only thing I was kind of bummed out about was the hotel's convenience store. I was hoping I could grab a few items on my way out or to my room but it was closed the whole time.
