The meals were thoughtfully prepared and served with so much care. Staying here was one of my favorite experiences in Japan. Everyone made me feel welcome, like family. I cannot wait to visit next time. The private onsen was so special too! Wow! Such a magical visit to Kyoto. Nothing.

The bath was fabulous, especially after a day of walking. The tea ceremony upon arrival was very nice. The futons on tatami mats were very comfortable. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The garden outside the glass doors was wonderful for meditation. The only thing I would have loved is having the onsen bath outside in the garden. Perhaps that's not possible, but it would have combined the two amazing features into one over-the-top experience. As it was both were splendid

The staff were so kind and patient with us since we were late checking in. The futons were very comfortable and the garden off the room was a peaceful respite. Breakfast was superb. The hot springs fed tub will bring me back again and again. That we didn’t stay longer.

It was an amazing experience in this beautiful ryokan. The staff is really friendly and responsible, it was easy to communicate. There were everything and much more for comfortable stay. The hot tab was a perfect way to relax and the breakfast was traditional and very delicious!
