Traditional room and facility, really fitting for a Kyoto trip. Rooms are large, clean and brand new. Bathroom is amazing, a wooden tub to soak in. Staff are really helpful and friendly

Great property that was traditional yet modern and comfortable. Loved the neighborhood, too! I’d definitely stay again. We wished we stayed longer! The AC blasts in the hallway and it’s quite frigid but in our room it was a bit hot, especially n the loo ending on waking. Not horribly though. Would be nice to balance this out a bit.

We loved the peaceful nature of the property. It was beautifully situated right next to a river and off a main road while still walking distance to local shops, convenience stores, and the train station. The staff were very polite and friendly, accommodating every request including meal delivery, baggage handling, and providing information about local activities in Kyoto. We enjoyed the Japanese Kaiseki breakfast each day and the in room coffee and tea options. The natural wood soaking tubs and shower combo were also incredibly comfortable for a long day of sightseeing. If you’re looking for a zen hotel experience that bridges the gap between Japanese tradition and Western convenience, Kyoto Takasegawa Bettei is it! N/A

Beautiful, amenities were amazing, service was wonderful, food delicious. Nothing.

But what i did like the most was the staff, they were super kind and took care of everything we asked for, very recommended.

If I could rate this hotel higher, I would. Everything about it exceeded our expectations from the traditional breakfast to the comfort of the rooms to the always available and helpful staff.

Everything! Price too expensive in comparison to other hotels.

No communal area and lounges. The breakfast wasn’t special and egg was cold. The cost outweighs the value.

This is a wonderful property to stay at while you are in Kyoto. The customer service, cleanliness and location are top notch. Easy access to the various transit lines and the Kyoto Train station. I highly recommend this place for anyone planning to visit Kyoto

The staff were incredibly attentive and kind. They were helpful in giving directions, helping us to call a taxi, arranging our breakfast, and even giving us shoe dryers on a particularly rainy day! The room was very clean and had lovely traditional Japanese charm and calm. I loved having the tatami flooring and having a peaceful zen garden view right outside our window. The cyprus tub was very relaxing at the end of the night and I loved that they provide yukata robes for us! We tried both the Japanese and Western breakfasts and I really liked both. It was fun to try something new! There was a city bus stop about 5 minutes away that made travel pretty convenient. I loved our stay here! It was one of my favorite places that we stayed while in Japan!

Loved the privacy and location

The location is very nice, with our room facing the creek across the road from the property. The area is non-touristy, with options for food and drinks within easy walking distance that made our stay memorable. The room was well appointed, with a nice Western style bed. The bathroom had a cedar bathtub, and the staff was efficient and frinedly. Nothing to not like.

Excellent staff, location and facility
