Loved the location so easy to get to market. Loved the incense on the way in. Thank you for holding our luggage past our check out.
-
Besutiful property, amazing staff and location was the best we could have wished for. No iron for clothes
-
We loved the decor, the smell of intense, the kind and friendly atmosphere from staff, the amazing location, the onsite bath house and amenities, the excellent food and chef at breakfast… There is nothing to report. It was the best place we’ve ever stayed.

Excellent location very clean Rooms relatively small but comfortable Room size
-
Great service and Amazing location Wifi is slow
-
Great location, fantastic shower, yummy but oddly ice cream focussed breakfast restaurant on the first floor. Seven-11 on site, which was fun. The room smelled fantastic and the pajamas provided were super comfy and a nice treat for travelers. Kind of tight quarters, but I think most Tokyo hotels are pretty compact (and who's spending all of there time in the room, anyway?). The laundry room was a bit of an ordeal --only 3 machines for the whole building, so kind of competitive to get in there

Clean and close to walking street n attraction. Don’t have much space for seating or resting area.

It was very clean, great location, good breakfast, smelled nice, good shower/good pillows. Overall a very positive experience!
-
Amazing place to stay with everything nearby and hotel staff were very good and makes your stay extra special. Never had any problem of any sort with the room or any of the services they had to offer. Really cannot think of any since the place itself is very peaceful.

Location was excellent. Facilities were clean. Breakfast offering was great for guests.
-
The location is outstanding. The way it is located on the property it feels very private but is right in the middle of downtown and close to so many places we like. The room we had was a little small for all of our luggage.
-
Excellent, friendly and accomodating staff. The hotel itself was fabulous. The room was very comfortable and in a prime location. Really had such a great time here, would definitely book if I had the opportunity to visit Kyoto again. The room was a little small, but really all we needed for a 2 day trip.

Clean, best location for shopping and night walk, public hot tub Ugh unfortunately the front desk made a mistake over hotel charge. We had to fix it later. That made me uncomfortable
-
Clean rooms, great location, Misinformation at the front desk happened. They also charged me wrong. Later they needed to correct it.
-
The incense in the lobby is quite overwhelming when you first walk in. Maybe if it was moved to the back and it could disperse to the front would be better.
-
Nice room, nice breakfast, nice hotel with a very Japanese feel. Would stay again.
-
The variety and quality of the breakfast were spectacular! The room was also much larger than at the other competing hotels. However, the quality of the construction could have been more refined. The carpet in the room. The overall quality of the construction in the room.

Great location so close to city center Main Street, Gion area, shopping area, restaurants. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They helped us with making a reservation, provided umbrellas on rainy days. Room was clean and had a great shower. There is an onsite onsen however we did not go so couldn’t review it. Size of room, no place to open more than one suitcase and not much closet space if trying to unpack. Wash basin (sink) not inside the bathroom but rather right in the middle of the hallway very close to the bed. Also our room faced the old cemetery in the adjacent Buddhist temple which was weird.
-
Great location, close to the marketplace yet tucked away to enjoy some quiet time when you need a rest from all the walking. The onsen was a great experience and a must do. The Hotel has i private temple attached for morning ceremonies but booking are essential, well worth getting up early to experience. Perfect location to explore the back alleys and streets of Kyoto for cosy restaurants and temples. A short walk to the Gion district for that old Kyoto feels. Absolutely loved our stay. Did a day trip to Nara to experience the wild Deer park. They can be somewhat pushy and aggressive if you have food for them, they will follow you and bite at your clothes until you give them deer biscuits which were 200yen. All round great experience. The breakfast room was small and very crowded with limited selections. Some western foods to choose from, just not the variety you may expect. Just enjoy the cultural experience.
