Room was clean and spacious. There's a grocery store right across which made a lot of things very convenient for us.

Location was perfect! Close to everything! Front desk customer service was 10+ for me and they spoke English too! I loved everything about it.

Quit hotel, clean, location is perfect No staff between 11PM To 12 PM , which I needed a taxi as I don’t have a SIM card only data eSIM card, leads me to go to the other other and order a taxi to go to the train station

Room was not well ventilated and hot, can't open a window. There is air conditioning but it was either cold or hot, it helped but not enough. Also should know this is an annex to the main hotel KABIN taka, so no reception in the morning or night, only in the main hotel a few minutes down the road, and luggage storage and other facilities are in the main hotel

Love the location. Shower and room were spacious. Laundry room was convenient. Staff was friendly. Will definitely try and book here again I couldn’t figure out how to view apps on the tv like Netflix

Location was awesome. The room was veryyyyy small. Would not stay here again only because of how tiny the room is. I should have double checked the square footage! Our smallest room in Japan.

Quiet, clean and comfortable. Ase at the front desk was very helpful in giving directions and recommendations. Kabin Machi is in a great location, close to trains, walk to temples, Nishiki Market, Gion district, shopping. There was nothing I did not like. Note the desk is not staffed 24 hours. We did not have any issues and no problems navigating the property.

The location was good for my purpose. The hotel is within walking distance of metro lines and bus stops for going to attractions in the Gion district. The room was big, comfortable and clean. They had a large table with chairs in the first floor and offered free tea and water. It's also close to restaurants and convenience stores. The only thing I didn't like is that the reception is not manned 24 hours a day but it's understandable since the price of the room is not expensive.

Great hotel, in an ideal location for exploring Kyoto. Comfortable, clean rooms and we were able to store our luggage easily at the sister hotel just down the road.

This place is very centrally located to downtown Kyoto many things were in walking distance. I loved the room codes so you don’t have to worry about carrying a keycard with you. The staff was super friendly and the rooms were modern and clean. Would definitely stay here again!

Great value and great location. I liked the minimalist design aspects and minimalist approach to accomodations. Kabin had what I needed. The room was simple but was designed so well that it felt huge compared to our last hotel. Though the staff were great, the accommodations, logistics of keyless entry and the app were all so well thought out that you really don't need the staff. But when you do, they're exceedingly friendly and helpful. Lastly, the proximity of the other KABIN properties was really useful. Not much to dislike. Really. One request: Though I appreciated the microwave, a toaster would be great. And, it wasn't until checkin that I understood there were multiple properties, with different amenities (Gym, coffee bar, laundry), that one could take advantage of. Certainly a pleasant surprise but when booking through Booking,com, I didn't really understand that. But really, that's it. This place is great.

It was a decent size - comfortable with enough space to layout 2 cabin sized luggage and still have enough space to move around in. The location was excellent - a 5 to 15 min walk to most places you would want to visit in Kyoto. We didn’t take public transport once while we were there! Nothing much to dislike about it. Just that there aren’t enough hooks or racks to dry towels and clothes. It would have been good if there were an air dryer of sorts in the bathroom (which some other boutique hotels I’ve stayed in in Japan have).
