Design Hotel Kyoto Fuyacho

Location was terrific - close to shopping, restaurants and also historical Gion area. The studio we had was spacious and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay there. We would go back.

Size of the room. Maybe a little bit small.

This was a spacious, beautifully designed hotel that easily fit our family of 4. The kids LOVED the separate tatami room and the futon beds, and our beds as adults were extremely comfortable. The combination washer/dryer in our room was one of those things you never knew you needed until you got to use it - putting all of our clothes in at night and having them ready by morning was lovely (or if you were more organised you could do it immediately on returning to the room. The bathroom/sink/shower/bath setup was an excellent example of how when good design works, it just works and everything about this place was an exercise in an extremely well designed living space. We didn't need anything we were so comfortable there. There is an excellent supermarket two doors down with so much ready to eat food which was a godsend. The lobby had extra tea and coffee and a little freezer with free ice creams in it which the kids loved. The location was perfectly placed between the train station and the main shopping area. It was a perfect base for Kyoto and well priced too. We had no issues checking in with the doorcode. We had our luggage sent via Ta-Q-Bin and I don't know if the staff were going to notify us but I had left an airtage in my luggage so when it arrived, it was put in the basement of the hotel so I just went and go it without any issue. Nothing, it was amazing.

The room had everything we needed and was very very clean! The bathroom in particular was comfortable to use.

Great location near a happening area yet quiet enough, various commute options nearby, convenience level super high! Minimalist yet high-functioning, and comfortable! My only concern were the stairwell railings with a wide gap. With a toddler, it feels very high risk and unsafe.

Very good

Has a kitchen that we could use which we liked! Room was comfortable and new. Allowed us to deliver luggage to the hotel after discussion with them. There is a grocery store located next to it which was very convenient. As no staff is at the hotel, chat response time wasn't immediate but decent.

Great location, great space, easy to check in/out, Nice bathroom. Good coffee and tea. Generous supply of water, towels and coffee/tea. Nice kitchen utilities. Lack of cooking essentials, had to buy oil, etc. No dish towel, which would have been useful. Perhaps 1 or 2 larger bowls.

Everything! There is a supermarket just next door with excellent food choice. We bought wagyu and cooked two days straight. The sashimi in the supermarket was already good enough and to be able to eat at the comfort of a spacious living room with a huge screen. The apartment has an elevator easy for access with luggage. The entire experience was superb! Not so much dislikes, just suggestion for improvement: add one more full body mirror in living room.

The room was very clean and looked beautiful. The communication was so fast and easy and I was getting immediate answers whenever I had to contact the property. The common area had an espresso machine which we used every day as well as ice cream and pastries, all complimentary. There were change of towels and refills for tea and coffee left at our door as well. The TV was great quality and had a Netflix subscription already logged in where we were able to end our day with a movie. The location is perfectly in central kyoto too where so many areas are walking distance. Overall, this was one of the best accommodations I've ever had and I highly recommend anyone to book this place.

Very well decorated, comfortable, great location, and the common room was a big plus (when we brought takeaway food it was great to eat here). Very helpful staff and within walking distance to all the shopping and food destinations.

Spacious, cozy and perfect location

did not have breakfast. Location was fabulous. no chairs or table to sit on in the room. had to work downstairs in kitchen/dining/lounge area.

The common space

Amazing hôtel ! Right in the center of Kyoto, 5 minutes walk from métro station and the main market ! The appartement is even better than the pictures. Very well furnished and equipped, spacious, comfortable beds and pillow (yes this is important). They also provide complimentary snacks, ice creams and coffee all day long in the lobby area. Nice rooftop as well ! Spacious bathroom with shower and bathtub ! We would definitely stay again !
