A lovely one night stopover. Friendly couple, very welcoming. A short walk to the harbour, great fish restaurants. Breakfast was fresh & plentiful.

The village may be a bit off the beaten track, but the location has a welcoming host who is ready to recommend you great locations for dining out and for helping you doing ad-hoc reservations. The area is great for eating fresh oysters as they are cultivated there. Ask your host for the best place to eat crustaceans and you will find a very typical/original French restaurant with delicious food at the outer end of the little harbour which you may have missed when you are travelling solely on your own. The place is also close to the island Ile d'Oleron where there are nice places to visit. The room was relatively spacious, with separate entrance, aircon, and seemed overall recently renovated. Car parking is not an issue and each of the rooms has its own parking slot. Although we found it rather funny, it is recommended not to be frightened of dogs as there is a large one around which still is a puppy that is constantly trained, which means it is still of a somewhat stormy in character.

The location was green (little forest just in the front of the room) and calm, around 8km from the center of Royan. The room was spacious, clean and well furnished. Our host was welcoming and very friendly.
