City Express by Marriott La Paz

The Marriott name is always a guarantee of a good stay We never had warm water in our room. This is the second Marriott that had this same problem, I am starting to think that its by design.

Location , staff I like everything

The bathroom was dirty, the toilet looked like you don't clean it.

Walls are thinner than I'd like could hear people upstairs and walking/talking on the hall. No room service till after 4pm and menu was very limited. They had bar by the pool but never saw anyone working behind it.

No hot water or water in the showe

We chose this hotel for the location (on the edge of town, quiet, closer to nice beaches) and the value. It was serviceable for our needs and quite clean. There was no hot water available several days we were there (which made showering ... uncomfortable), and no filtered water was available for long stretches in either the dining room or the gym. These felt like dealbreakers, so we'd probably stay elsewhere next time in La Paz.

Walls are thin, you hear every noise in the hallways. Beds were very uncomfortable.

We didn’t visit the beach or city because we were waiting for our friend (for visits to the doctor), The hotel doesn’t look like the pictures in the advertisement:(

The food to expense! small portion

Its under construction. That was not mentioned in the add. All the pictures ware 3D if what it will be some day.

Nothing, we finished checking in and left before even going to our room. Parking was sketchy and not secure. The front desk clerk recommended we park around back which was even worse. The pool was closed due to maintenance. Definitely something we would never have associated with the name Marriot. I’ve stayed in better Super 8’s. On top of all that our credit card was changed 3 times for the booking.

Restaurant was being remodeled, breakfast was limited and room service only after breakfast Too far to downtown and restaurants

That the building was under construction and noise started on or before 7am

Desk for work with a chair and enough electric/usb outlets. Free breakfast included. Blackout curtains. Beach right in next to the hotel. La Calavera (to watch the sunset) right in front of the hotel. Very friendly staff. The AC was loud. TV wasn’t working well, both picture and sound were fuzzy. Smell of paint (due to the ongoing renovations).

Service, and room wasn't 100% ready and clean when we arrived around midnight. By the time we got to the room ac sounded like an airplane turbine, was awful ?

Excellent staff! From everyone on the front desk to the ladies preparing food, excellent customer service and attention.

Good budget hotel to visit La Paz. You do need a car to get to all the places, but then everything is closeby. The centre is a short 10 minutes drive. Friendly and helpful staff, clean, very good wifi, good showers, and comfy beds. Breakfast area is very small, so a bit crowded. Also rather basic in what they offer. Don't let that be a show stopper.
