We stay in Lamai every year. It has the best swimming beach on Koh Samui. The breakfast was lovely. The staff were very attentive in the restaurant and bar areas. Our room was attended to every day. When we booked, we were told the works on the swimming pool would be completed before we arrived. They weren't. In fact, even when we checked out the pool was not ready to swim in. We had booked this property based on photos on the websites and other reviews. We were in one of the older rooms which need updating, but friends stayed in newer rooms and they were fine.

Great location Rooms and pool area need a refresh. Too many people put towels on loungers and don’t use them. Stop this!

The breakfast was budget and no coffee machine the We stayed in a pool villa, it's a varied review depending on what you paid and room type. So if you stayed in s budget room I'd say great pool although no hand rails but big and overlooks the water. And great location, the budget breakfast would also suffice. We however got the pool villa, disappointed to say the least 5 times the price of budget room and well below the standard of other villas in the area. No smart tv No Netflix No coffee machine and no lighting to read a book a very darkroom. I asked if they had a lamp to be able to see and the answer was to take a light shade off a lamp but that also didn't work so we rigged up the Suitcases and I used my phone light balanced on the top to give us light. They didn't even supply standard toothbrushes. We also had a wasp next ans they gave us a tin of flt spray to fix. So for budget it's good value but would not even consider a pool villa again. Way over priced compared to the other villas we stayed in

And the hotels location The 1st room they put us in the Aircon was broken. After waiting 3 hours it never cooled. We had to move all our things to a different room. After a week of staying in the 2nd room the Bathroom started Smelling really week. Awful!! NOTE: we are used to Thailand Bathrms. But this was really bad.. We lost electric 4 times & had to call maintenance to fix each time. Each time we were delayed with our plans. One night it rained hard & water leaked from Ceiling onto the floor & bed. We had to put a wastebasket on floor to catch the water. So we listened to water dripping all night. This was not a new leak. The hotel knew about it. Ceiling had several older water stains & the paint was peeling. They also messed up our New Years Eve Dinner Celebration. We reserved a table 3 days before hand. The table was by ocean. They tried to put us at a different table that was two rows back from ocean. Which caused an argument... Not a good experience at all.

It’s a great location, love the balcony, great pools and right on the beach as well The shower over the bath, it floods the whole floor if you don’t put a towel to block the water. It’s a poor design and not hard to fix

Nice staff, big complex, a lot of pools, al la carte breakfast in off season. Beach is connected to the hotel. Firm beds. The lighting was somewhat less. And the showers could be overhauled and it tastes like salt water but your not sticky afterwards. Maybe new TV‘s could be a thing with WiFi.

The bathroom needed significant remodeling. It had very moldy caulking around the tub, the tub flooded the floor after every use from leaking, and the shower head was not affixed to the wall so you had to hold it with one hand. The bed was very hard. The services felt very expensive for the quality level of the room.

Right on the beach but also with a nice pool. Also right in the middle of town. We ordered deluxe rooms which turned out to just be standard rooms a bit closer to the beach. Place is a bit dated and has a musty smell in all the rooms. They have nice bungalows that I managed to look inside. We paid for deluxe and I am sure we should have been in them as they are great.

Some an expensive experience, but definitely in the high end of luxury locations. We had a private swimming pool, which seems a bit chilly compared to the ocean. Amazing place, worth a visit.
